Because we are in such desperate need of talent at SF, and because that translates to -- as some have already observed in other threads -- Jaylen being able to play just about as many minutes as he wants, I think Jaylen Brown will be our most important recruit since Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, if Jaylen comes to Kentucky. I can't think of any other group of players at -- or coming to -- any other school that would more perfectly compliment Jaylen than Tyler, Briscoe, Alex, and Skal. I can see Jaylen averaging 20+ and 10, easy. Same for Skal. Indeed, I can see that group averaging the 90 ppg that Derek Anderson alluded to in his unfortunate rant on KSR.
Also ... I think it's unfortunate that some posters on this board assume that Jaylen is sold out to Adidas. He seems like a really bright young man to me, and thus I think he's more than able to see that the best way to spend his one year in college ball is at U.K.
And I'm sure Jaylen is also aware that John Wall, after playing at a Nike school (U.K., of course), signed a multi-million-dollar multi-year contract with Reebok in his first year in the NBA. I understand that John has recently switched to Adidas, but that just re-emphasizes the point that the company that supplies the equipment to your college team doesn't make a bit of difference to your future endorsement opportunities.
I'm just sayin' ... come on up to Lexington, Jaylen. You'll never be sorry !
Go, 'Cats ! ! !
