Because we are in such desperate need of talent at SF, and because that translates to -- as some have already observed in other threads -- Jaylen being able to play just about as many minutes as he wants, I think Jaylen Brown will be our most important recruit since Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, if Jaylen comes to Kentucky. I can't think of any other group of players at -- or coming to -- any other school that would more perfectly compliment Jaylen than Tyler, Briscoe, Alex, and Skal. I can see Jaylen averaging 20+ and 10, easy. Same for Skal. Indeed, I can see that group averaging the 90 ppg that Derek Anderson alluded to in his unfortunate rant on KSR.

Also ... I think it's unfortunate that some posters on this board assume that Jaylen is sold out to Adidas. He seems like a really bright young man to me, and thus I think he's more than able to see that the best way to spend his one year in college ball is at U.K.

And I'm sure Jaylen is also aware that John Wall, after playing at a Nike school (U.K., of course), signed a multi-million-dollar multi-year contract with Reebok in his first year in the NBA. I understand that John has recently switched to Adidas, but that just re-emphasizes the point that the company that supplies the equipment to your college team doesn't make a bit of difference to your future endorsement opportunities.

I'm just sayin' ... come on up to Lexington, Jaylen. You'll never be sorry !

Go, 'Cats ! ! !

I thought it was Murray? Seems to change every 30 minutes.

If we don't get one of Brown or Murray then we're going to be depending on a lot of unknown variables going right for us in order to have a real shot next March and April.

Uh no.

The next lottery level scoring-wing to commit to UK will be Calipari's first at UK.

I'd take Brown and donate a kidney in his honor.

It's hard to know if Murray will even reclassify.I'm starting to wonder if he will say 2016 and it's strange we haven't heard anything about a visit.

You people are hilarious. It'd be great to getBrown, but if we don't were still a top 10 team. This board is delusional.

Wow thats kind of a bold statement i agree we need to add some talent and would like to have him here also.Im just not impressed with very many of the kids in this class just looks like a down year overall to me.I would like to add him and Murray would be a good catch just wont be overly disappointed if we get one of them,i prefer Murray he can really shoot the ball. jmo

I'm certainly no authority, but I think Brown is more of an all-around scorer than MKG was. Nobody will ever be the slasher that MKG is, but I think Jaylen is a real slasher himself, with more of a pull-up-jumper game and an effective 3-point game as well. But I don't pretend to have any first-hand or inside knowledge. Just my impressions.

Go 'Cats ! ! !

Dude, you have to have SOME depth. We have one backup in the frontcourt, and no 3 as of now. Foul trouble and injuries happen. We are not yet equipped to handle those things. Hopefully we will be.

Foul trouble for a game ? sure we can . Injuries ? hell no . Just like in 2012 and 2011 this team as it is now can not afford an injury to its top 7 AT ALL.

It would be great for him to be a Cat. I can't stand to see one more top recruit choose foolishly. Ingram's about the only one who has made a smart decision. LSU? Mississippi State? Good grief. Have fun playing in front of 4000 people and never being able to get the smell of mildew off of your street clothes (yeah, I said it; they don't even launder as well as UK).

Wow. So that's what happens if you mix hyperbole, rumor, hysteria in a base of cold beer. Shaken, not stirred.

I'm sure this young man is a fine prospect. Let's let him actually sign, show up, practice and play a few games before appointing him the second coming of Michael Kidd Gilchrist. If this keeps up the poor kid will think he's a failure if he doesn't have a jersey floating in Rupp on the first day.

Coaches often tell players to at least act like we been here before. Good advice for fans too.
