The point wasn’t to deter you from KSR as a network. It was to show you some other shows. I agree about Locked on Kentucky, nothing original. Same issue with Loyal BBN Fan Show.At least 2 of those shows are KSR shows, although without Matt. Also, Matt's KSR radio show will have Stoops/Pope (and other coaches) on as guests, but not the other ones.
Locked on Kentucky has no insider information at all, and no access to UK coaches/players. In fact, I'm pretty sure Locked on Kentucky makes frequent trips to Rupps Rafters for content.
I'm not familiar with Loyal BBN Fan show, maybe something I'll check out
I really enjoy “The Catican” and “Wildcats Today”. The Catican is more of a fan conversation than analysis but highly entertaining and I share a lot of similar views with them about how I see the game. Very insightful.
Wildcats Today offers some unique information, but nowhere near what KSR radio show does. One of the podcast hosts works for SI. It is very conversational but a lot more analysis, very fan level and basic. They don’t care to call their shots and be honest, even slightly controversial. I’m actually surprised that podcast hasn’t gotten much bigger. Anytime it drops it is an immediate listen from me.
Sources Say is part of the KSR podcast network just like Zoom Action, but it’s heavily focused on analyzing the on-court product, although it can dabble into some goofy comedy and inside jokes. There is no call-in with terrible takes, just outstanding basketball talk. No cereal brackets, no political stuff, just dudes talking basketball at a deep level. Definitely my favorite podcast
