..."no need to settle for three point shot ...you can't settle for NBA three point shot, get,to the rim, create contact EVEN FLOP, PUT THE REFS IN A POSITION TO MAKE A CALL, I DONT CARE WHAT YOU DO." A TRUE floor slapping, rat-faced, motorcycle wrecking dukiie....FAR cry from Bilas, who,,in my opinion is one of, if not the best in the game.

Jay is definitely a homer unlike Bilas who realizes that ESPN not Duke pays his salary now. Jay doesn't necessarily turn you off he just doesn't turn you on, but he's still ahead of Gottlieb who I can't for the life of me see how he has such a prominent job.

I clearly need "Vine" lessons as I created an account just to document this garbage but there's no denying it was said...

I heard it too. I startled the wife because I cussed the tv after hearing it. He literally said "flop if you have too".

No surprise there.

I was surprised he would say he should flop on the air but being a former Dookie, I guess it just comes natural.

He's not wrong. Our players are getting fouled like crazy but because they are taught to play through the contact they aren't being rewarded. Instead they are getting credited for turnovers that were created because someone slapped them in the face, across the arm 4 times, or similar. Meanwhile the other team is flopping and flailing around and getting to go to the free throw line when there was no contact at all.

motorcycle wrecking.....I chuckled

Jay is an odd one. He is a nonthinking Duke zombie about 70% of the time but the other 30% he can be really sharp.

I have no problem with what Williams said. He was spot on in my opinion, The correct play would have been to get to the rim and either make the shot or hopefully get a call. I hope the refs wouldn't be baited by a flop but it would be a smart basketball play. I am not talking about a Chris Jones flop but a flop to actually actentuate the contact. Our guys do it as well. I don't fault them for doing it and I can't fault the other team for doing it as well. It is a smart play. Now a flop with no contact is a different story. Until the rules are modified, you can't fault teams for taking advantage of the rules the way they are written. Isn't that the same point we make about Cal and the one and done rule?

He is a former player, flopping is unfortunately a big part of the game and it works. As a fan we hate it but I don't blame him for saying it.

Hold it just a minute.... Which one of our guys is it that flops?

He's right. Be upset about the fact that officials are continuously duped by flopping; not that an analyst talks about it.

If officials stop awarding floppers; it'll stop. Till then, that's what we'll see.

Stop it. Andrew Harrison is king of the flops, he's just bad at it so it doesn't get called. What do you it is when he drives the lane and just throws his hands in the air and yanks his head back?

Duke will not like "the flop" so much after they play UL....which will fall down after every dribble.

Absolutely ridiculous take, which is not borne out by the eye test. I know this idea got batted around by a few of you a week or so ago, but you guys are so off-base it's not funny. Andrew is nowhere close to guys like Chris Jones or Tyus Jones, so he's not even keeping up with the Joneses, let alone being the "king of flops". Pathetic untruths coming from UK fans.
