He played pretty well the other night. Bring him in the second half when everyone is gassedHave you ever tried to play basketball in his current condition? Actually, you can't answer the question because you don't know how much mobility he has with that hand or how much pain it causes him. It's not just a matter of having the pain tolerance to try to take a shot; if he isn't healthy enough to help the team then his presence in the game can only hurt the team, not help.
He’s not playing for awhile IMO.
Carr has played through nagging injury this year. While that snake Sharpe was sitting out healthy, we had Tyty and Grady playing through nagging injury. Jaxson has an injured shooting wrist and he's not particularly valuable aside from his shooting/scoring. He had some wild shots in that game and he probably had some swelling happening, I'd have to guess, if they shut him down and half and are keeping him out. Where do you get off sitting on your sofa and questioning players' toughness? The days of playing through nagging injuries is over unless your tough like Butler. Not a lot of tough ones left in the game.
Matt Jones just said the scuttlebutt is he's done...the doctors are recommending surgery...he's gonna go out of state to a wrist specialist to see if he can play through it.
Unfortunately I will have to agree that JR is not hard nosed physically or mentally, and sometimes that mental part is far harder to struggle through. Practice injuries happen all the time and sometimes those come connected with words like knee, ankle, shoulder, surgery, and season ending. Comparing Robinsons injury to Kerr, Andrew or LB is kinda a normal thing for fans to do but it's both pointless and inaccurate.
Best thing I can say is wish that hadn't happened, heal soon and hope he can be back sometime in this season.

I see us having trouble beating a 5 or 6 seed in the R32 without him tbh.Team is cooked without Jaxson. Sweet 16 at best. Just not good enough offense.
Heck, the other night, he scored 7 points in 12 minutes.
We will not fall off the 3 line if we lose to them both IMOCould be a RD1 exit too, if the Cats fall to a 4 or 5. They would be playing a near equal team in round 2, but there's a HUGE difference between 12/13 seeds and 14-seeds. Have to stay on that 3-line, which won't happen if they lose to Auburn and Missouri.
It just sucks that we can never have a fully healthy roster, ever.
I just gotta say, you have no idea what his injury even is, and you don’t know him personally at all, so where the hell do you get off saying he isn’t hard nosed physically or mentally? If the rumors are true and doctors are recommending surgery, then he was hard nosed to even try to play against Oklahoma.
Respectfully, you need to watch your mouth when talking about people you don’t know at all.
If Jaxon is out they can drop us. They take injuries into consideration for seeding, but if the player is not coming back then they will not give an injury leniency.
Our best win would be better than their best winIf Missouri wins 2 of 3, or 3 of 3, including a win over UK, they would also have 8 or 9 QUAD 1 wins, and a flat out better resume than Kentucky given the computer sites. They would move onto a 3-seed before UK.
I'm not sure how this is any different than the news we had last week. Everyone knows that Jaxson has the opportunity to have surgery. They have been hoping he would play through it regardless. Multiple doctors have already told him that he can play. It's a matter of pain threshold right now. So Matt Jones is offering us nothing new.Matt Jones just said the scuttlebutt is he's done...the doctors are recommending surgery...he's gonna go out of state to a wrist specialist to see if he can play through it.
Exactly. I read somewhere that we can't play either the Friday or Thursday games, I don't remember which, because of Rupp being a site. That's going to factor into where we can go and be seeded.Bracket rules will also dictate some of this too. It's very likely Kentucky ends up a 4-seed. Especially given the SEC is likely to have TWO 2-seeds.
This is what was said on KSR Sources Say as well and they checked it with Bart Torvik. Idk where people are coming up with the “you have to beat Auburn or Missouri “ to be a 3-seed thing. We will not fall off the 3 line if we lose to them both IMO
Just can’t lose to LSU and gotta win 1 game in the SECT and they’re firmly a 3
