Jason Crowe "most likely" to visit Kentucky

I like his game, but I'd be cool with Kinney, Thompson, and Holt as the three guys UK brings in next year.
I think we get two guards/wings. Hopefully two of Crowe, Kinney, Holt, Thompson, or Stokes.

I think Stokes is long shot at this point.

I think Crowe has a strong connection to Hart, but will that be enough to pull him off the West Coast?

Kinney is a homegrown talent, so I think he’s most likely.

Thompson seems like the next most likely.

I am going to guess we get Kinney and Thompson. Kinney is probably our backup PG and Thompson as the backup SF, as I think Lowe and Williams probably return for 26-27.

PG Lowe/Kinney
SG Johnson/Chandler
SF Williams/Thompson:Noah
PF Dioubate/Jelavic
C Garrison/Moreno/Potter

And if some of those guys leave, Pope will go to the portal for replacements.

If I have to guess, I would guess Thompson is most likely

From available interviews and reports, I do not feel Kinney is that enthusiastic about Kentucky as many of us thought. Also, he is from Newport, Kentucky is not that "hometown school" for him

I think there is a reason Thompson unofficially visited us twice last season, also Pope visits him first among all offered players, I tend to think he is Pope's #1 overall target in this class. Now he looks more and more like top 5 players in this class.

In general, I think we get one wing (SG/SF) and one guard(PG/2G) in 26 HS recruiting, I do not count development pieces

Our wildcard with Kinney is Johnson. They played for OTE together. I think if there is any chance that Johnson is back for his Sophomore year, Kinney may want to play with him.

Could be as long as we have hart on staff. Kinney growing up a hour from Lexington has to be a huge factor as well
I doubt we could get both, but that would be something. I guess they could play together? Crowe has the size to play SG.

PG Lowe/Kinney
SG Crowe/Chandler
SF Johnson/Williams/Noah
PF Dioubate/Jelavic
C Garrison/Moreno/Potter

That would be a pretty strong roster.

I grew up in Southgate, just outside of Newport. All my school buddies were raging Kentucky fans. There were a few Cincinnati fans but they were the exception.

Of course I also was Kinney’s age 25 years ago and lord knows the world scene has changed a good bit since then. But rest assured, there’s PLENTY of UK fandom to be immersed in up in NKy.

From available interviews, Kinney does not talk much about "hometown school" aspect of Kentucky

I think he mentioned Xavier as his "hometown school"...

Hart being best friends with Crowe’s dad has to be a major positive for us. He was already set to play for Hart at G-League Ignite.

Should we be considered the favorite? If my best friend was an assistant at a high major college, that’s where I would want my son for sure.
I think at least he is more gettable than we thought before...

I tend to think as long as Jasper has second round prospect, he may leave, just like Labaron Philon this year...

According to this article Joe Tipton has logged his prediction for UK for Crowe Jr. He said mainly because of his relationship with Hart.

The problem is if Hart will leave after next season

Even if Crowe commits here, if Hart leaves for another program after next season (to be HC or AC), will Crowe decommits and follows hart

There is a risk

Is there signs of Hart wanting to leave? I get what you're saying but as of right now and for the foreseeable future he's still a coach here and we have a big shot at getting Crowe Jr.

I dont know

But I do not think Hart will stay here forever

He will 100% go to other works at some point in the future, either pro or college (if Hart actually leaves next season, I hope it is pro)...

I hope we will have at least 4-5 years of hart here to help our program back to top greatness
