If he can pass rush, yes.
If he's from KENTUCKY and he's good then that's worth a lot to me. Why wouldn't you want to come play for Kentucky now and win for your home state when it's a winning culture now?
Furthermore I hope we don't see high School Kentucky studs choosing teams like Alabama over us anymore. I hope those days are coming to an end. I've seen too many Kentucky players leave this state and go somewhere else.

Alabama picks and chooses players not only from KY, but in every other state as well. I do agree I hope those days are few and far between going forward.
Have never understood why players get vilified for choosing another school. They are doing what they think are in their best interests. For 90% of these players there is life beyond football after college.
A degree in sports communications from Bama is just as valuable as one from UK.
You’re not wrong, but one from Notre Dame etc etc may be more valuable.
I would also bet that NIL benefits are better at bama for football

The strides UK has made in academics is pretty incredible.
He did this now as to NOT play in a fifth game this season to save a year of eligibility.
JL will have TWO years remaining
There was a time when the 3rd string Dlineman would be something to be excited about. I’m not so sure now . I’d be curious as to why he has fallen so far down the depth chart.
Best I understood that they definitely didn’t want him to go.
I don’t know their roster but I’d venture (with 0 evidence just purely speculation) that he’s got a few upperclassmen studs in front because ND usually has great recruiting classes they want him to wait and he’s got the degree from ND and doesn’t want to wait and it’s a play me now kind of deal. Again that’s 100% speculation as how I preliminarily read the situation.
Can't gather much without snap counts, but he's #6 out of DL in tackles (didn't count but 15-20 range overall). Tied for 2nd on the team in sacks, but he's only got 2 (leader has 3).
If he's getting out at the 4 game threshold, he's looking for playing time to get NFL film. Finishing the season at ND only leaves him with one, right? RSing leaves him with 2.
Given how we struck out on DTs in the 23 class I say full court press on Lacey
Talented, high character player also from a great family. Absolutely no downside to bringing him on.
It's SDE. People with low self-esteem have a hard time dealing with disappointment.
