@CatsFanIL during our debate about Z and his playing time I told you he just needed time on the court. He is still a work in progress but last two games he has grown tremendously and defense has improved by an immeasurable margin. No one two weeks ago thought Z could even begin to play in a game like tonight but he more than held his own. Will get even better as his game shape improves.

Where do you find +- for college games?

That +/- while missing the key moment shots he did is nuts.

His development these next few weeks could prove very beneficial against one of the giants we could face in the tourney, ie Edey/Clingan. His sheer size on defense and ability to pull them away on offense could change a game.

I absolutely love what the kid brings to our offense. PNR for days, and you can't leave him. He is a nightmare with our 3 headed monster of guards.

IMO he is a difference maker. Shame cal didn't develop him sooner!
He has been developed just fine. His defense has improved quite a bit. It had been bad enough where he was a complete liability on the court and his lack of minutes was justified. That's not the case anymore so he's getting minutes. He had to stop practicing for a bit because he wasn't cleared yet, there's only so much he could develop until he was cleared.

that's a fair take. that said, it's time to go all in.

He needs the game reps, build up that stamina more.
This is why I actually like him coming off the bench to start the game. Though I wish one of Reed or Dilly would start. I like 1 of those 2 coming in when Z does at the 16-17 minute mark. Big Z is good for 5 minute spurts and he needs a breather. 25 minutes a game is about the max you will get from him.
