I was plenty excited with the 2017 Monk, fox and Bam team and the 2019 even. I'll buy since 2019.
If Acaden Lewis hadn’t got scared, I’d feel like we were the #1 team in the country.

Yeah 2017 and I'm assuming you mean 2018-19 team? I was pretty pumped about that team when we announced Reid Travis.

fox-monk-bam was one of my favorite teams..loved them.

I’ve not been this excited since Jessica Simpson invited me over….and then I woke up unfortunately.
I've been this excited for only two other UK teams. Maybe two and a half.
1. Wall et. al.
2. The platoon team.
2.5. The 2011 team that got us the first FF in my adult life. I only really got really excited once we were making that run.
I just told my wife that next year's team is a legit title contender and that I'm extremely impressed with what Pope is doing. She's excited too. We're definitely going to Rupp at least once this next season. Holy cow, this is exciting.

I trust Pope, completely. Have since his press conference at Rupp. There's just no reason he can't get it done here. He's supremely capable and in it for all the right reasons. I'm happy.

2015's weakness was they couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. I dunno, maybe they could shoot threes better and Cal didn't let them.
Is 96 before your time? I KNEW we were winning it all as soon as the 95 season ended & I basically counted the days til November. I couldn’t wait. I’m sure most of BBN felt the same. And, the day the 96 season started I made a bet with my UL buddy for $100 & I took UK to win the championship & he got the field.
I don’t think any team will ever make me more excited for a season, but, I’m definitely more excited for next year than I have been in at least a decade. Although, I guess I was pretty damn excited this time last year, too, bc the turd was finally flushed.
The first time I actually remember watching UK basketball was a Kansas game in the Tubby years. We held around for a bit but Kansas pulled away in the second half. I think it was sometime around 2005? I didn't really get into basketball until Cal. I followed it cuz my dad liked it, but he never has the same zeal for UKMBB after Pitino left.
The one I heard was since the pigs ate my little sister. A guy from Mississippi told me that.
