IU vs. UL - Thoughts?

I thought it was pretty cool when these two colleges squared off nearly every season starting back in the mid-80’s. It was must see, and rarely disappointed.

I'm hoping UL wins enough games to make the NCAAT that way it boosts up our resume. But I would also find comedy in UL once again thinking they are back on the big stage just to get knocked back down by reality. Their scout board seemed to went into depression mode once Tenn beat their heads in at the Yum. They really talked themselves into believing they were better than us this year and those weird transfer portal rankings meant they finally had a leg up on us LMAO

Sure, but it doesn’t mean Kenny Walker, Winston Bennett and Rex Chapman weren’t three of the baddest dudes on the planet then, does it? The amount of time that has passed doesn’t somehow mean it didn’t happen.
You totally misunderstood (or perhaps I did). I was saying 86 (UL's last real title) and 87 (IU's last) are a long time ago. No way was I saying that the Cats of that time need no attention. I grew up on the Cats starting in 82, so I love all of those guys.

Indiana can’t shoot so if UofL gets hot they can stay in it. Also Indiana is remarkably poor at rebounding for having such a good front line. I fully expect Indiana to win but Woodson is such a poor coach I could see it being closer than it should be.
IU isn’t great shooting but they are vastly improved from last year. Louaivlle is worse version of Kentucky. Louisville is truly 3s or bust, they have nobody who can create anything consistently and their bigs want to be on the perimeter all game.
