Why do you think Syracuse? They are very close to talent rich New York city. Just curious your take on them?Indiana in the Big 10, Syracuse in the ACC, Vandy in the SEC are hopeless situations after the latest expansions
Dude, they don't have football fields in New York City. Why do you think Syracuse? They are very close to talent rich New York city. Just curious your take on them?
Even if there was a lot of talent in NYC (There's not), Syracuse is 4 hours away. They would go to multiple other schools before them. Why do you think Syracuse? They are very close to talent rich New York city. Just curious your take on them?
NW is up there too. What I can never figure is how big state IL is always so bad.Indiana in the Big 10, Syracuse in the ACC, Vandy in the SEC are hopeless situations after the latest expansions
They really think they would get Jon Gruden? So much for Jon Gruden. Not a bad hire for the Hoosiers. A little older (62) but tons of success at JMU over the past 5 years.
Indiana is pretty low profile FB school and to be honest we would be looking around the same kind of coach if we had to replace Stoops. Probably a tier higher just because of recent success and being SEC + the pay.Man, that's pretty low profile if you ask me.
I read an interesting article the other day. With schools like Florida State and Clemson wanting a larger share of revenue of the Football deals, what’s left for some schools after expansion is done and dried up? Conferences can only hold so many teams and the SEC/Big12/B1G are about to reach the upper limit. What’s the only way to increase each schools share after that happens? To kick out the worst preforming teams, or those teams who don’t invest in Football like the other big dogs. That’s a scary thought for schools like IU/UK. I know we are a founding member but we better keep trying and investing.Indiana in the Big 10, Syracuse in the ACC, Vandy in the SEC are hopeless situations after the latest expansions
IIRC, CJ Johnson, a JUCO transfer early in Stoops tenure, was from somewhere in NYC. I believe Ray Davis and Ramon Jefferson are from the NYC area as well. But yeah, overall relative to its population, NYC isn’t exactly a hotbed of FB talent.Dude, they don't have football fields in New York City.
Gotta have little dogs to make the big dogs look good. We're a charter member and in no danger of ever being kicked out imo.I read an interesting article the other day. Maybe not but it’s an interesting possibility. I can definitely see it happen at some point to certain schools.Gotta have little dogs to make the big dogs look good. We're a charter member and in no danger of ever being kicked out imo.
This. Who is going to replace us? Louisville? Inside the SEC we pull our weight. Outside the SEC we are pretty productive.Gotta have little dogs to make the big dogs look good. We're a charter member and in no danger of ever being kicked out imo.
From a large college coaching family, about the best IU could do.Hoosiers hire JMU's Cignetti to replace Allen
