I go to Peegs sometimes to just see how the other half live lol. these people think they have a program like a UK that would attract the best of the best coaches when Clappy finally gets canned.

a guy suggested Fran Martin. now in reality that's probably around the type of coach they would attract. you would of thought the guy suggested some DIII coach from Alaska. These guys throwing names around like Stevens and Bennet.

sad part is they believe they could pull a coach from the BOSTON CELTICS or another that just got a crazy pay raise at a program he has playing and recruiting at a level IU has not seen but twice in 25 years.

in my mind after Clappy is bounced Glass will shoot for the stars to appease these fools and after a month of rejection after rejection he will look to a Frank Martin or a Josh Pastner from Memphis. Archie Miller and even a Chris Collins will wait for better opportunities.

no way IU will get this home run hire they want next year. and it is clear Glass will have no choice but to fire Clappy. IU now will be forced to find a coach and None of those fools will be happy unless it's Stevens.

what world do they live in? their is a reason they had to settle on Crean. Cal turned them down and I think Donovan did to. those we're the two big names with Stevens haven just went to Boston at that time. IU is screwed because any coach besides Stevens our Marshal will have this old school fan base bitching before they ever coach the first game. who the hell wants that?

really think a young GOOD coach could do good things at IU. but it will not be what these fools want. IU will never be top 5 again on a year in and year out basis. in my opinion reason why is because top players do not want to play for a school that has a fan base who wants 5 passes then look for a shot ball. a fan base who wants 5 all American white boys running the old picket fence play. it is what it is and IU still has the image of that old Hoosier movie. what young African American kid wants that today?

No college job is as attractive as it used to be. It's hard work to recruit a new team every year, less rewarding in terms of building relationships and recruiting starts to matter more than coaching and player development. If you avoid one and dones you probably won't compete at the highest level which is also less rewarding.

The one and done culture would also be hard to mesh with the culture of the IU fanbase, which yearns for the days of championships built on discipline, screening, man to man and fundamentals with four year players and the occasional Isiah Thomas to put them over the top. It makes it harder for them to attract a Stevens or Bennett than it would have been twenty years ago.

the only difference in delusion between IU and UL is that UL has been relevant in the past 25 years.

so when UL fans boast it's hard to argue when they have a NC and a couple final 4s in the past 5 to 25 years. IU acts like they have and still are in the picture. to me that's the definition of delusional. ULs delusion starts and ends when it tries to compare it's self to UK. I can almost get that. I can't get IUs thinking or logic behind the state of their program today.

Sorry just do not put a lot into reg season wins. If i did then you would say Josh Pastner has had a better career at UM per wins. You play cup cakes to add up wins.

Now lets look at Ncaa victories and conf championships. And to be honest UL is very respectful in that area i would assume. Do not have the numbers.

Thank goodness for this one obscure data point - the one fact you guys have to cling to over UK. You guys wore that thing out all of last year! Alas, even by the end of the 2014-15 season, it was no longer true.

BTW, ask your buddy Cardgame why it is that when he lists Louisville's historical record while ranked at various slots in the ap poll (top 10, top 5, etc) -- why does he never include games when uofl was ranked #1? The absence is conspicuous......

I hate IU, but regardless, it's still a top ten coaching job. The fact is, they've just made several poor coaching choices since Bobby Knoght.

If Glass were our AD, I think the boosters would have tarred and feathered him by now. Crean has been a complete joke and IU has no real luster. What has happened up there going back for a long long time has been a complete embarrassment. Knight's antics started the spiral downward and each coach seems to take it down another level.
