It's Towles...

I don't know if they made a mistake or not. I know that last night Towles looked exactly like the inconsistent player that Neal Brown couldn't trust last year. I don't think Dawson had a bad 2nd half. Most of what he was calling was there, but PT couldn't execute.

The deep ball was being double covered in the second half but he continued to call it. Why not call a TE play once in a while?

It is Towles. This offense will not work with an inaccurate passer. It's that simple. Dusty Bonner played at all SEC level in this offense and his "measurables" didn't even come close to Towles.

You have to be able to complete 10-15 yard routes over the middle to keep pressure of the QB because in a spread offense you simply don't have the blocking to pick up over loaded blitzes.

You also have to be able to put touch on the ball out in the flats.

Where's the freaking tunnel screens? I'd love to see Timmons running those Craig Yeast type routes and have a chance to make people miss.

Let's not forget this either because it has never sat well with me. Dawson said he'd let Towles decide which plays were in the package??? Excuse me? Never in my life have I heard a coach at any level say that.

How the hell can you game plan if a QB is deciding which plays can be run?

You don't just trot out there and run plays because you like them. Every single call should have a purpose. Either to get the necessary yards or to setup future plays. How you can do that when a QB can rule out plays altogether is beyond me.

several throws that PT missed were open, he just missed them. Can't speak on the TEs or why any particular plays were or weren't called, but we have several receivers running routes on any given play. The QB decides where to throw it.

Just didn't see many middle routes last night.
