It's scheme, NOT lack of execution

He didn't at all. It was one read (wandale) and run. Almost all of his spectacular plays came running the ball.

This year he's a more complete QB, which is why he shot up draft boards as high as #1. Unfortunately it's much to the detriment of the offense because he was much more productive last year when it was one read and run.

One thing that is out of his control is turf toe which takes the boot packages out of our playbook. That's a huge part of his production and he physically can't do it now
1. This argument that it was one read and then take off in 2021 is just more made up bull crap

Ali got 41 balls and missed three games
TE room got 50 balls

2. Will has been hurt since Ole Miss game wjtb turf toe. He was never running the ball in the six games before turf toe. This stupid idea was Scangerello from day one

3. How in hell can you say Wil is more complete Qb this year. He’s a total mess. There is nothing more complete about him

Made up? Lol ok. Go back and watch the games. It wasn't some secret. Know why there were more balls? Because we picked up more first downs with a better OL and a QB run game that was difficult to defend. Also he scrambled for firsts on several occasions.

You really think it's Levis dying to go run the ball and the mean old coaches holding him back? It's the opposite but coaches will never say it, just like they all stepped up and took the heat for the "QB draw" in the two minute drill. Turned out, that was Levis freelancing but the coaches didn't want to say it.

It is a consensus decision (including him) that decided no qb run game. Scang was brought here with the input and consent of Levis to develop him for the NFL. That's exactly what we've done to the detriment of the team.

We do this every week. I state a fact. You say NUH UH PROVE IT. Then I prove it and we start again the next week.

1) the offense isn't good because we removed QB run and our QB is learning the position on the fly.

2) our OL is down which isn't giving him the extra time he needs to process what he sees.

Like I said after the first game of the season, teams are daring will tk beat them throwing the ball. We have to make teams pay for blitzing before they will stop. We never have. That's why we see endless blitzes every game. He can't presnap diagnose them and he can't consistently beat them.

I don’t think your capable of a coherent argument…dude I can’t tell if you think Scangerello is good or not wjtb your contradictions

1. So we had a better Oline and Qb run game but yet Ali and TE had more balls then ever last year. So doesn’t that sort of prove it wasn’t Wandale or take off Qb run?

2. So now you’re saying Coen and Stoops took heat for Levi’s running too much as he was to stupid to read the defense. Where did this amazing insights come from. I’ve never heard done iota we had to simplify the offense last season Just pure made up baloney

3. Vandy game he had plenty of time to pass so many times. Yet he throw for 100 yards…. Teems blitz us because we have Oline issues and we run way too many deep routes. We have tayvion barion and Dane….we could be burring teams to spread the field but we can’t execute plays for shit. That is coaching

He is a mediocre college qb. If he made the right read even half the time, he'd easily be one of the most prolific qbs in the country.

Week in, week out I talk about it and show a multitude of examples. I thought UT was his worst game but this is even worse.

Will is an awesome competitor with endless physical ability and tons of potential. He's just a mediocre college qb. Not only is he not the best QB in the sec, he is in competition for the worst.
His stats last year show he wasn't a mediocre college QB. It's the high school level offensive line coach and the journeyman offensive coordinator that is not putting him or anyone else in a position to succeed.

Stats say he had one game in 2021 sec play he passed for over 200 yards . He struggled a lot last year. How everyone forgets that is beyond me

It really is unbelievable. Our fans remember a superman but he was really Clark Kent in terms of throwing the ball.

Every single highlight he had came as a runner. He is great at it, it's a huge part of his game, and it energizes him, the entire team, and crowd. Last year our offense struggled in the sec until we introduced QB run.

I say less go to the sandlot scheme-let Levi’s just draw up a play in the dirt lol. At least UT couldn’t steal our signals n we can save Scans salary n put it in NIL to buy some O lineman

Geez. Now we’re calling Levi’s not that great?

2900 yards 24 td 13 ints wjtb 400 rush yards and 9 TDs kn 66% completion percentage. That ain’t shabby at all dude. And his numbers the last half of season were a ton better

J get there is blame all around but the offense staff has a job to coach what they have and this was as shit job as I’ve seen at UK since JLO last season
He absolutely is not a great college quarterback and never has been . He has arm potential and is a good runner ,that’s what he will be drafted on. If you’ve watched any gamefilm the last 2 years you would see he CONSTANTLY doesn’t see guys open , almost NEVER throws to his checkdown receiver to pick up positive yards instead of taking a sack , is terrible at reading where the blitz is coming from , rarely steps up into the pocket (when he has one) , stares down receivers, and has zero poise .
He has physical talent but a very slow processor. His decision making is horrible. All that said, I think Scang and Yenser have been horrible.

So why did read things a ton better just a season ago?
He didn’t. Many times he targeted Wandale or pulled it down and ran when there were receivers wide freaking open . Wandale was special, he helped Will out so much that Will should give him some of his NIL money. It was extremely rare that Will attempted a pass to his secondary receiver. If his primary was covered he either pulled it down and ran or was sacked. Coen made it very simple for him .

1) we moved the ball better, getting more first downs and more snaps. We moved the ball better because Levis was lethal on the ground.

2) I didn't say that at all.

3) he had plenty of time despite bringing heat. Was the best game of the season for the ol imo. Levis had guys open every play. Still put in a sh1tty performance.

It's so bad for him, they no longer even ask him to read the whole field. Now just half the field. They motion a guy to show him the coverage. He still misses most every read.

The concepts literally can't get easier. If it's man, we have a rub. If it's zone, they literally run levels so all he has to read is one defender. Still can't consistently do it.

Eddie doesn't look so bad now.

As far as the OP, it's both scheme AND lack of execution.
I say it's execution simply because special teams, especially FG kicking, doesn't have a scheme. It's really hard to fathom as bad as we have played but if we had a special teams unit that could execute simple FG's and had a punt/kickoff returns that didn't get called back for a penalty we would be 8-2 right now. Then consider if Levis didn't have to sit out the USC game then we are probably 9-1, ranked in the CFB playoffs and everyone is happy.

Why don't someone that likes calling in to the Stoops show just ask him point blank why he won't hire an OC that has an open and exciting and unpredictable offense? Another great question would be why we consistently hand the ball to CR up the middle with eight in the box? Are we not smart enough to change the play?

The coaches have underwhelmed, I am not patient enough as a fan to go to another 2+ games next year and waste money to be disappointed.

A lot of you are better men/women than , but that’s just the way I feel.

we fire oline coach and scang, i will feel more confident about next year

I believe a lot of people are in the same boat as you . I think that in order to build any excitement going into next season, Stoops has to address the special team situation, bring in a promising transfer portal quarterback, hire a new offensive line coach, and most importantly, make a “splash “ hire for the offensive coordinator position.
