It was about playing time for Acaden per the CJ

Did he think Travis Perry would beat him out for the PG2? Perry is a hard worker, but right now not a true PG. Lrwis is good enough to dominate minutes at PG, but not good enough to earn them?

I can tell you this, Perry and Chandler are not just going to give people minutes. Those are some hard working dudes. Anyone joining this team in the backcourt better come ready to work.

If it was about playing time, then sometime or another he would have been pouting on the bench, no matter how good you think you are, you have to wait your turn or go somewhere else. This is Kentucky, there will be competition, and you won't be guaranteed playing time, but you will have a chance to start based on what the coaches see and how you respond in practice. However, if you quit before giving it a chance based on who else is coming in, that's the wrong attitude to have in any team sport. there are plenty of division 2 schools looking for players like that.
Of course this is Kentucky and many players until recently have been guaranteed playing time and starting positions. The Kentucky aspect doesn’t make the difference, the coach does.

You can’t say the Kentucky aspect doesn’t have anything to do with it. The school with the most all time wins speaks, facilities, brand also do figure in along with the coach. The Lewis decision shows Pope does not guarantee playing time. Take away Rupp arena and the Craft center and the tradition
And you are just another program.

Big brain thoughts. Sounds plausible

If that happens then I understand it. Start at Duke or be 2.5string at UK. 10-15min at UK or 25min at Duke
The fix to that would be to be the starter but I don't think it would have mattered as much a one might think because it would have likely developed into a hot hand split.

I can say it. Cow literally just did it, now Pope doesn’t.

A player like him needs to understand that in todays game, he’s either going to come off the bench and probably not play the minutes he wants, or he needs to go to a lower profile school, put in the work, and earn your spot on a better team. If you’re a top 10 recruit that will be a difference maker from the start, then yeah you can go to a high profile school. If you’re not that type of freshman, it’s too easy for a school like Kentucky to get a better option from the transfer portal.
