I've no problem saying that Lil brother has a good team. They are. The ACC is not that great this year, though. Louisville hasn't lost since they played us. It looks easy enough for them the rest of the way. They have a good new coach in his first year, the players lok like they are giving the kind of effort to make the Louisville fans have a similarly renewed faith in the program.
GOOD !
I think it's fine. Having a rival like that, if, after awhile, you regularly beat them down every year, it pretty soon becomes old hat and the passion of a rivalry wanes until it no longer exists. (IIRC - Indiana fits that description)
Just like having other SEC teams enjoy success in any given year, and having them step up to bring out the best in Kentucky, it has led to some of our greatest years. I think this year may very well follow that pattern. In 96' Miss. State had that kind of year, and Vandy had a similar year in 2012. Remember those years?
It would be an awesome end to have it go like that! And I'm happy just getting a win in the NCAA tournament this year. Just ONE win is all I want to ask for, but of course, I am hoping for so much more!
It's interesting Kentucky has beaten Duke and Louisville, lost at Clemson. From what I've seen, those are the best 3 teams by far in that conference. I don't have the kind of dislike for Louisville that many fans do, so good for lil brother. Screw Tobacco road, I'll stay with the state of Kentucky for my hoops fix.
