With the new lease at the Bucket taking millions of dollars and Tommy T bitching and moaning about what UK pays to Rupp the Red Pigeon Scout board is in dissaray over Turtlenck being forced out..
after the Title has been vacated and all the dust settled..will uavel be a prime spot for the pompous AD to sit upon his throne..Methinks not..
The House of Cards is crumbling and it is a glorious site to behold..The new Prez at Lil Brother may wan a fresh start and clean up the stench that emits from that bird's nest..

One can only hope !! If you look at any other school in the country, how many coaches and AD's would survive the mess that has happened at UofSmell in just the last two years !! The answer is NONE !!! , take that Zipp you dumb bastard !

The banners aren't down just yet. I'm reserving my ish-talking for when they are officially down. I actually think they have a sneaky shot at winning their appeal. I've already envisioned the the meltdown on this board if they do win their appeal.

The only sneaky shot they have is if the NCAA is even more corrupt or spineless than anyone ever imagined. This is an easy case for the NCAA to save a bit of face on. The school admitted to using hookers to entice recruits/please players. It's as open/shut a case for ineligibility as they will see. I think MOST peoples' fears on here are simply due to this being UL and how excited we are at the thought of the banners coming down, not from a rational or logical line of thinking.

Better keep wishing. The odds are slim to none they win the appeal. The NCAA isn't going to change their stance that UofL used ineligible players. Every game they played in will be vacated including the championship. At least you'll still have those banners from the 80's hanging up there :flush:

Ole Miss football coach resigns. One of the reason is he used an escort service. Tardville is a sewer. Why can't the NCAA see it?

Not a UL fan. Said a million times; UK football fan that follows basketball.

I'm just not 100% confident in the NCAA to uphold this upon appeal. UL will have tricks up their sleeve. How anyone on here could be so confident is beyond me. We're talking about the NCAA, and we're talking about UL.

Do you honestly think UL kept tricks up their sleeves awaiting an appeal? They were 100% confident they would get only minor penalties from the NCAA. Their entire argument is that they bought cheap hookers (or at least the NCAA could only prove they paid little for the hookers) so the penalty should be the same as if they bought the kids food or shoes. The NCAA has said all along that the money spent doesn't matter because bought prostitutes for recruits/players over a multi-year period.

No, but I think UL will do anything and everything to keep the banners. At this point that's all that matters to them.

We all keep making reference to how clear-cut this case is. They provided prostitutes to recruits etc etc. Well it's pretty damn clear cut at UNC too (they provided fake classes and fake grades to players) and the banners still hang with no real decision in sight. Their loophole is that the fake classes were made available to regular students. I'm just not putting it past UL to find a loophole to keep their banners.

I don't care about reduction of scholarships, Coaches resigning, fines, etc......I want the banners down. That's the only way UL and their fans will actually feel and endure the shame. That's what makes it real.

How anyone on here is already celebrating it like money in the bag and the bag is in the river is crazy to me. Wait till the banners are scraping the hardwood before your shoot off fireworks and set off balloons. That's all I'm saying

It's really simple. UofL fans have long brought up Derrick Rose being retroactively deemed ineligible. As many times as they have brought up vacated wins, due to an ineligible player, they should be aware of this.

Good points. Agree totally.

"UofL paid approx $4.5 million to arena last year for rent, seat & suite licenses, facility & parking fees; addl $2.42 M will near $7M total" That was per Kenny Klein

I posted an article from Insider Louisville that talked about all the money UL got but it was quickly deleted.

Inside info. No link.
Pitino is gone.
Will be public very soon and will not give up source.

No offense at all intended, but I'll believe it when I see it. XD
As much as I HOPE it's true, I'm right there with you. Not a peep of this anywhere, so I'll believe it when I actually see it.

He said tricks.

The only way Pitino is gone is if Jurich is also gone and they finally do the right thing and clean house. Going to need to use a ton of bleach to clean away all those germs that is the University of Louisville athletic department and staff. This is the cleaning crew they will have to bring in.

I'm sure you probably have thought about the meltdown and anger from ***UK***FANS if the appeal goes south. Not surprising lol

Don't worry tho. It won't- banners will be taken down and wins vacated :)

Jurich will probably be promoted. To President at Louisville.

I read somewhere they can't get any qualified candidates to even apply as they know nothing will change with Turtleneck, the pimp and honest Bobby there.

On that note, Petrino's antics kind of pale in comparison to hookergate and the financial shenanigans that have been going on down there! No wonder they had no problem re-hiring him!
