Scout is the New Jersey of Messageboards. The majority of any fan base isn't like that. I know there are many, many morons as UL fans. Have a couple friends and family that fall in this category but this is the lowest of the low.
I suppose the situation for ul fans will always be the same. They can't play as well as the other children so, obviously, the other children are cheating. It is the only reasonable explanation.
I take solace in the fact that so many people over there are so frustrated with being flogged by UK time and time again, they've convinced themselves of some of the craziest things that I've ever heard. Louisville basketball, #1 superiority complex in all of college basketball.
They take consistent whippings from big brother, and still manage to convince themselves that they're some "premier" college basketball program. Applaud them, fellas, we have a special little brother.

The best post is about them running a clean program and getting stand up guys. What? The ? F? How many UL players have transferred or been dismissed from the team. Hahah. Meanwhile UK continues to get nothing but stand up people and a great academic record. Quality guys?
The "quality guys" line literally made me laugh out loud. The pure comedy I get from reading that board is a treat.

But you have to keep in mind, most uk fans do not understand what Algebra is. Most are trying to figure why the girl would where her bra in the infested waters. Goes in clean, comes out all Algebra.

Cheating has always been a part of college sports and it always will be. Whether or not you choose to go down that path depends on what is most important to you/your school.
It kind of says a lot about people's character (or lack thereof) that they believe we should cheat if we can get away with it.
You run a clean program, you attract character guys. You get character guys (and girls), you get a) quality teams, which we have across the board and b) a much more rewarding experience following these teams.
He's so right. First, you have an AD who hires Julie Hermann. A woman who not only is accused of verbal abuse, but also has a discrimination lawsuit against her. You have a basketball coach who cheats on his wife in a public place, pays and pimps her out to a basketball manager to keep her quiet then becomes the central piece of a case involving said affair. "Suspends" players for awful acts to only bring them back when needed or plays guys who are already thrown out just to try to beat your instate rival. You have a football coach who cheated on his wife, hires the other woman with state money, and will take any player thrown off a team if he has talent in a blink of an eye. Not to mention he recruits a child molester and claims the kid needs a second chance.
AD also hires a guy at the center of investigation involving one of the largest pay for play controversies to hit the NCAA at Miami. He claims he'll be fired if found guilty but keeps him on and never says another word about it.

Thanks for posting the link OP. I get no bigger thrill than reading threads like that. I rarely go to the Scout board but will see threads like that from time to time on the Rivals board. It is pure enjoyment and the fact that they BELIEVE IN THEIR HEART everything they are saying makes it that much better. Carry on Cards, carry on!!!!!
Louisville Scout, I'm banned there. I can't even read it. They sure as hell don't like hearing the truth about themselves. The fact of the matter is, they picked this fight. They wanted a piece of us, well by God they got it. Now all they can do is poop their pants and cry about it.

It really is remarkable that they can post on a thread like that with a straight face. There is no dirtier trio in college athletics than Bobby Petrino, Tom Jurich, and Rick Pitino. Unlike their rumors that they rely on to defile our coach's character, we actually have proof of their coaching misdeeds and character flaws.
I have no interest in reading their board unless perhaps it's right before, or right after, our game with them. This board has its share of wacko posters, but there are also some reasonable folks who can call a spade a spade (even if it means criticizing UK). There are very very few UL posters that fit this definition (Steelers is about as close as it gets, and it's certainly a stretch to call him reasonable).

It's like the crazy UofL fans try to plug their ears and scream "NANANA CAN'T HEAR YOU" when someone has an opinion that isn't "UK and Calipari are disgusting cheaters who disgrace the sacred game of basketball."

I enjoyed how Bledsoe is an example of Calipari cheating. His questionable grade changes occurred in February. 45 days before the UK job even came open and Cal/Memphis were certainly not recruiting Bledsoe at the time.
So Calipari had the foresight to orchestrate a grade change for a kid that he would eventually recruit for his future employer. No wonder they see this guy as an evil genius.

I think KU fans could use a bit of the butt hurt balm as well. UK has owned KU thru out the years to the grand tune of 22-6. Plus beating them for the title in 12 and then the massacre this year and we have kicked them around unmercifully.

I can answer your last question: It's simple, there are more of us. UL has a very small fanbase. UK has a huge fanbase that extends beyond state lines and its a fanbase that travels anywhere to see the team. Hence, we have the highest twitter traffic, the highest message board traffic, etc etc. So, because we have more fans than anyone else, we also have more loonies b/c of sheer numbers.
As a percentage, UL probably has more dumb fans and more irrational fans; but, because of the sheer number of UK fans, we generally "look worse" to a broader audience.
It is so sad how often they bring up "most wins of the past 3 seasons". They honestly think that's going to matter over seeing Davis, Wall, and Cousins tear up the NBA for recruits.
They need to hang onto that "we have the most wins in the last ___ years" argument as long as they can. Because next year's Tard Squad is gonna be unbelievably bad.
