Is that it for Kentucky? Or do we get both Briscoe and Humphries in 2nd

Apparently he didn't like school. I want to know who convinced him he would be drafted after EVERYONE else in the basketball world told him he wouldn't?

Isaiah Briscoe was the only one who ever said he would make it to the NBA. I'm pretty sure everyone else told him otherwise.

Young people today are on social media constantly. IF you think they don't read/hear about the crap that is said on this board then you are further behind the times than I am.

I'd like to think my inner circle of people, my coaches and family and my own insight into my situation and the financial/career implications would outweigh "What's 12 people saying about me on a message board?"

In order to win titles it's imperative to have kids like Briscoe stick around. If he's talented enough to potentially play professionally (somewhere), then he's talented enough to play for UK. Having a talented upper classmen with two years of playing experience would be huge for us. Yet he left and didn't get drafted. I don't care what any blue-tinted fan says, that's a problem. And of course it's the dirty little secret that none of us talk about (the impact of rarely having talented veterans), because we're so enamored with the next big recruit and having the top rated class. Hate to see 10-15 years of Calipari having top rated recruiting classes and only a single title to show for it.

My only point; we must find a way to get talented kids who aren't guaranteed first rounders to stick around. It's a must.

Not what Cal wants. He wants a constant revolving door of O&D. I think that is what keeps Cal motivated.

Funny thing is they still follow and care about uk after they leave. That's why they 8thh matter and you don't to Kentucky's success over the years.

Wow!! Please enlighten us on what you have contributed to our success. Here is your chance to really pat yourself on the back. Don't screw it up.

I agree to a point, but from all accounts Briscoe didn't like school and just wanted to make money. It wouldn't really be fair to him to try to force him to stay.

He did not like school

He got tired of being recruited over

He was never gonna play PG here

He had a bad attitude.

I wish him the best as I do all the kids that wear the U.K. Shirt, but once they leave, I do not follow them.
I am sure they are very concerned that you do not follow them once they leave.

Briscoe improved from his first year to his second. Maybe as a 4 year player he would have stood a better chance at getting drafted by continuing to improve his game. Other factors prevailed in his decision making.
It would have been nice to have his experience on next year's team.

Full disclosure, I'm glad Briscoe is gone. Dude had a bad attitude and wanted to leave as soon as he got on campus.
I don't see it that way. The guy played his heart out game after game with a win at all cost attitude. Maybe he ball hogged some but my view is that he never gave up when some others seemed to. The guy is barely old enough to drink. Never had a job. Of course they want to get paid for doing what they love. Their friends are flipping burgers.

Ok.
