How can it not. You have a coach that tried to leave last year. You have fans thinking he's just going through the motions. That his heart is not in it. Some wanting him fired. The question is, how can you ask a recruit to commit under those circumstances. I mean you can, but how can it continue to be effective when there is such dissention about the head coach's own dedication to the program.
If his hearts not in it how can you expect a recruits. And you know other teams are probably already using this when negative recruting against UK. We can't have it both ways and have all these questions about Stoops and then turn round and say there are no negative consequences to it.

Ironically, recruiting is the best thing Stoops does. We have a solid class right now. Stoops' problem is he can't figure out how to field a competent offense combined with the recent problem of seemingly making buddy hires in Wolford and Buffano.

He was able to bounce Coen in 2021 after seeing Levis, NFL offense and Wandale put on a show into some recruiting hits with promies of NFL system, etc....

Now he is back to college only scheme and it literally stinks.....44 yards passing. No WR or QB will come for this crap. Boley probably sticks as he is already here, from Ky and sees easy path to playing time next year. But tell me a WR worth a crap going to UK now with this hot mess.

Should make recruiting easier if anything, will be a ton of PT available next year if a kid wants to play early.
