I see here and on the WL..."pay the man" AND pay more for assistants and pay for an indoor facility.
This is a business question, not emotional. UK in my opinion must crunch some numbers and look at ROI.
If it can be done within budget parameters do you think UK should?
Should Stoops be paid as a top 8 coach?
or Do we think that we are so ugly that there is no way we can get a prettier date and this is an overarch and overpay?
or Does he deserve to be treated as and paid as one the elite coaches, at an elite program?
IMO... if the numbers work, do it.
Full disclosure... I criticize his coaching a lot, and did not think he could turn us into an elite program AND I am still not sure he can... BUT pay him, see if he can, but also lower the buyout clauses
Then, if he can't get us to the next level; the program should be in good enough shape to hopefully find that guy (with the high pay scale)
