Is Iowa's offense the worst ever for a team with a winning record?

Embarrassingly bad. 12 yards total in the second half yesterday. 115 total for the game. Yet, they continue to win. 'Winning ugly' doesn't come close to how badly they've been on offense this year. And, without a controversial call late in the game yesterday, would most likely have won that one, too.

Not sure how to research this, but they've got to be historically bad for a team that almost assuredly will be >.500, right?

Ferentz the OC ought to give back his salary this year. Just no excuse.

If you look at NFL rosters, Iowa has put OL, TEs, a few RBs in the league. They're not completely bereft of talent. But they are ludicrously bad on that side of the ball.

If you look only at the P5 opponents, their offense is putrid. But, somehow, they have won games even with almost no offense. A special teams play, a turnover that puts the offense in scoring position, a pick six - you name it. Brian F. surely has his bags packed by now. No way he can keep his job. NW, Rutgers, IL and NE are not exactly a Fearsome Foursome but they'll be lucky to average 24 points against those 4 and that won't cut it.

They brought in ex-Michigan QB and TE McNamara and All, both of which are now injured. All was their leading receiver. OL is down by their standards, but no OL can save an offense that can't do anything.
