The last two seasons situational foul trouble could really put us on our heels. 2016 the NCAA knew our weeknesses was our inside game. Poy or Lee sometimes both always sat extended min with foul trouble. 2017 it was fox or Bam sometimes both. I still believe it took Bam all season to be a good rebounder and never went to block shots as aggressively as he should because he knew he was getting called for everything. The team it looks like he is building lots of versatility lots of depth not huge drop off in talent player to player. Built to absorb foul trouble with out losing to much.

Not as long as Higgins is around

If that's the case I wish he would have tried to build for extremely good depth every single year, rather than as a reaction to officiating

Closest ky has ever come to being referee proof was 2012...when uk had a once in a generation player in Davis. Ky could and did beat 5 on 8 a few times that season. But ncaa back roomer dealers decided not put the fix in on that team and try to beat them. That team got a relatively fair whistle in the tourney. Last time I can recall that being the case.

The 2012 team was nearly cheat proof. Our guards simply just allowed the penetration and our bigs could defend the rim with ease and avoid contact. Not to mention the blocked shots were getting blocked to our own guys for run outs. Not sure we will win another one until we have a similar build. Not that were not capable but just feel the deck will always be stacked against us. Have to take the officials out of play as much as possible and that team was great at it.
