Is Bama in if TCU loses?

K-State has a very good team like the play calling by their OC. TCU gets in minus a blowout loss. Bama not getting in this season and really don’t deserve too.

Alabama lost later in Season, had one of the losses been Georgia, it would be a but different. It would be hard to jump 1 loss teams and TCU still has 12 wins vs 10. Ohio State had one bad half and with 11 wins is in. After 2 Rose Bowl wins in 4 years interesting they requested the Orange Bowl if not in playoff. Times are changing from when the Rose and Sugar Bowl were huge. They just beat Utah in Jan. Any way just hope UK gets its bowl win and beats out OSU for some recruits.

I don't think it matters what happens to TCU. A 2 loss Bama, not making the SEC Championship game rules them out. The college football world is sick of Bama. If they get in this year the whole country is gonna explode.

So, not gonna happen.

Ready for the 12 team playoff so all the controversy is over. Idc about the 13th ranked teams beef, although I'm all for a larger playoff as I have mentioned.

If KSU wins by 14+ points I can see a debate.

Neither TCU or Bama would have a conference championship. One loss TCU won eight games by 10 or less points including last second wins. Bama lost two close games: 1) They missed a winning FG with 15 secs left. UT managed to score a FG in those last seconds. 2) They lost an OT game at LSU when LSU gambled on a 2-pt conversion.

Kansas St OC is my choice for the UK OC job if we lived in a perfect world. Their OC is Collin Klein, former Kansas St QB. Doubt he'd take it but never know unless you offer.

If TCU loses today how are they still number 3?

I agree osu should get in over bama but if tcu loses osu should have to play michigan. It's gonna be fun to watch the committee justify tcu staying at 3 if they lose today.

Don't disagree with any of the arguments against Bama. I don't even like them, but I think it would be a heck of a lot more interesting if they were in instead of OSU and TCU. Yuck, won't even watch.

TCU will still get in because the Big 12 as a conference would have another nail in its coffin if they didn't. Bama's two losses were nail-biters to a couple of top 10 teams (at various times during the season). IMO a blowout loss by TCU should get Bama in.

The 4 best teams need to be in the playoffs. Of course, it’s not clear how to measure that. If TCU wins, they will be in and should be. If they lose by 3 touchdowns today, and it’s trending that way, I have a hard time saying they are one of the four best.
Who would be favored if Bama and TCU played today, I’d say Bama would be favored by at least 10.

If you were to switch the conferences of Alabama, TCU, and Ohio State, what would their records be then? Also, if you were Georgia or Michigan, which team would you want to face the least.

Michigan doesn't want OSU again and Georgia would rather face tcu or usc or tn or even osu than Alabama.

Alabama is the only team that can keep Georgia from winning it again. If they do jump TCU and end up #4 and Saban has 3+ weeks to game plan for Georgia, I like Alabama to beat them

Alabama is absolutely one of the 4 best teams. I'd love to see Bama/UGA again. But the comments saying that the football world would explode if Bama got in are right. Luckily for the committee, Alabama lost twice, and they can keep pointing to that.

Yes, for for no other reason than ratings. Alabama in any form will draw triple the ratings of TCU.

Stupid USC effed this up royally. In this 4 team setup fiasco, a 2-loss team should not be in there and Mich should not have to potentially beat Ohio U twice to win the thing, same as Bama shouldn't have had to beat UGa twice last season

NO WAY!!

The rest of college football would DIE. The SEC is the premier NCAA football conference, but the powers that be will NEVER admit that a 2 lost Bama is better than a 1 loss team from another Power 5.

The rest of college football has been waiting for a scenario like this to have another conference JUMP the SEC in pecking order.

A two-loss Alabama who played a 8-game SEC schedule deserves to be in over an undefeated Little 12 team but we’ll throw that garbage league a bone I suppose.

Last year Bama and UGA were the best 2 teams and they should have both been in. This year OSU hasn't really proven to be one of the best 4. With the loses this weekend though they will probably get in

I think Alabama is probably a more dangerous team than TCU all other things being equal, and I selfishly want them to get in, but I just don’t see a reasonable case for it. They each have a similar number of good wins with TCU possibly even having a slight edge there. Then even with TCU losing today, that’s a 3 point OT loss to a top 10 team. I can’t see how that’s worse than 2 losses no matter how close they were. I think it still has to be TCU getting the nod unless your argument is that on paper talent should trump on field results.

Alabama lost 2 reg season games to schools other than Georgia. It is NY6 for them which should still be big. If the second loss is in Conf Championship game that is one thing but losing to the Conf runner up does not merit a Final 4.

I wouldn’t mind TCU honestly even with today’s loss if OSU didn’t stumble into a spot in the playoffs. Just garbage. So if they slip through the backdoor I selfishly want Bama to also slip on in. Hell it’s more than fair for the Big Ten to have one guaranteed team in the title game also.

So if LSU was was 10-2 and won today you’d still say TCU deserves to be in!!!
Yes, TCU should be penalized for a conference championship game 12-0 is an accomplishment, the big 12 isn’t a dog shit conference it isn’t the SEC but TCU should still be in

If only Bama would have been at 5 over Ohio State
It's possible that they could jump OSU if LSU shocks Georgia (which makes the Alabama loss to LSU look better) and Purdue upsets Michigan (which makes the OSU loss to Michigan worse). Possible but not likely.

Imagine Bama jumping Ohio State and OSU left out. Georgia would rather face Ohio State then Alabama I’m almost positive
