The one thing we have issues with, Iowa state
Does it better then any team I have ever seen.

Scoring off made baskets. Iowa State gets the
Ball down the side line to the basket after a make
Faster then I've ever seen

Plus they play with crazy passion, and seem
Athletic.

Man that's the one team I'm a little scared to
Go up against in March.

Hoiberg is building a damn fine program out there, but his lack of depth is a concern, especially on the interior after Niang. I would take UK all day on a neutral court if WCS and Lyles are guarding Niang with passion to defend (which WCS always seems to have this season).

ISU sure gets a lot of attention for a program that has never done anything

Grow a pair OP. UK would whip ISU like they did in 2012. Royce White ain't walking through that door to help them keep it close for a while.

ISU is losing to a team UK beat by 32.

ISU also lost to WVU who were beat handily by Texas, a team UK beat, tonight.

They always play like a different team at home. The place has tons of energy that the players feed off.
It's like watching two different teams

he's a fine coach, but they're just not a great defensive team under fred hoiberg.

This is the Iowa State team that lost to South Carolina. All Big 12 teams are overrated.

Exactly. Undersized, is what they appear to me. Any good team with big guys, length, and bulk is going to give ISU fits. They play aggressively, uptempo, which makes up for some of those deficiencies, but the lack of size is a killer when they're on defense.

A big team like ours spells big trouble for ISU. Wouldn't be worried a bit if we were to face them. But I like their spunk, they play hard, especially for the home crowd.

A lot of those things look impressive...

until you get a player like WCS who can run down the player. If Poythress was here, it would actually be a trap for them to attack like that. Seriously....

Not worried.

UK would not lose to Transfer U. They are a fine collection of basketball vagabonds, and Hilton has its magic, but we would not play them in Hilton & we are taller, and better.

The B12 is overrated EVERY SINGLE YEAR. One champion in the last twenty-six years. Think about that. In that time, the SEC has six.

Nothing to fear

Good Lord, how is that even possible?
Welcome to the SEC where everyone gets up for UK only to lay eggs v everyone else.

during certain times and situations anybody can look great. Not saying they are not a legit team but you know to be the man you have to beat the man!

Based on their offensive efficiency, I think we would struggle against the alien team from Neptune, because I'm told they get the ball down in light speed. I don't think we'd match up well, especially if they placed Ulis and Booker in a worm hole and they ended up in another solar system. Also, if we played a team of velociraptors, due to their speed, and they happened to have a brontosaurus playing center, we might struggle because our size would be negated.

I'm concerned about what possibilities await us.

KU just scored and ISU went right down the court and scored. 5 secs elapsed between baskets. That's pretty fast.

Grrrp iza so.sories miza fone mespelled sorry.
Iza apolijeyes.

As far as Iowa St, they can play. And I watched
A crappy smaller Texas A@M and Ole Miss play
With emotion against UK. You may wanna go
Back and watch those games again before
Dismissing Iowa State as to small . Plus the
Fatigue issue was never a issue until OT. And both teams
Played around 7 man rotation.

As far as Iowa State only playing well in big games
Or home games,. Well big would A game with UK
In March be?

Some of you crack me up. UK can be beat. My
Point was a team like Iowas State could give
Us a scare or a loss, if they play us like they are
Kansas.

ISU may not be the tallest... but they do get down the court FAST... the latest breakouts just now were pretty impressive.....

We beat KU by 32 dude, get over yourself. They are at home and up like 6-7.

And other posters help me out, does the OP actually think UK will not show up in the NCAA Tourney? Because the OP should be aware that UK has dominated everytime against big name teams, which ISU would be in a Sweet 16 type tourney game or whatever. GIve me a break.

This is a common storyline. "Which team looks good this week and might therefore beat UK?" Then they go and lose and are replaced with another team the following week. Rinse and repeat.

What the Hell is up with these weird camera angles ESPN is using for this game? The game is nearly unwatchable, IMO.

I thought that failed experiment ended last time they tried it 2 years ago.

This is spot on.

Drugs are really bad for you.......there can be no other excuse for such drivel !

Wow really wow. Never said they would beat us.

Said they look and play like a team that could give
Us a scare. They move the ball up the court after
A make fast, we have had trouble since the Bahamas
with transition D.

They attact with no fear and shoot 3s decent. Ole Miss and
Texas A@M did the same. Hell at one point Cal had to sit
Ulis because Ole Miss and their guards were to aggressive.

Its a mess board this is what rational people do in a adult
Conversation.

Maybe some of you need to realize in this sport anyone
Can lose on any given night. And mess boards are full
Of different opinions and thoughts. And believe it or
Not your opinion may differ from them.

Some of you should just read the paper a lone..

ISU has a good team that plays hard and is coached well.
They also have a pretty good go to guy, who shoots well
And has size. So ya I would be a little worried seeing them
In March.

But I also know my big blue could blow them out if we play
Our ball. But in no way do I think UK will just walk over
Every team in March to win it all. And the ones who keep
Saying UK beat this team who beat this team so we would
Kill this team, better wake up.

I'll quote Cal. These kids are not machines. And in my opinion
A team like ISU could give us a run for our money March.

Surely your joking or, that's you Alma Mater.

Iowa state did almost everything they could to give that game away. Glad we picked up another game on ku. the scary thing is KU will still probably win the big 12. GBB
