I just wanted to drop a few notes this morning in regards to players who are considering reclassification, and/or have gotten home visits.

I would still keep an eye of Tyrese Maxey. Our guys will be in Dallas this weekend at the EYBL event, and they will be all over that one. I have said that I think there is a split in the camp on whether to move up to 2018 and sign with Kentucky because of the loaded back court. But even the ones against the move are certainly not denying that the move could happen.

As you know, I spoke with Jalen Leque's father, Derrick, yesterday, and I wanted to add some things that I could not put in the article.

The most interesting part is that Derrick couldn't give a ton of details about the latest recruiting news, and that is not a knock on him. He is in New York City, while his son is in the mountains of western North Carolina. He had not spoken with his son at length about the home visits, so he couldn't share honest information about that. He is a very cordial gentleman. In fact, he will be getting us a personal interview with Jalen in May.

But he was all over the reclassification aspect of it. In a nutshell, if they think Jalen is ready for it physically and mentally after that watch him play through May, they are wide open to moving up a grade. He said the goal is to play college ball and be one and done. But they also don't want him to be in a situation either where his draft stock goes down. For example, if they think he could go 10th in the 2020 NBA Draft, I don't think they would want to move up and go 25th in the 2019 draft. But Derrick honestly sounded excited to me about the possibility that he might reclassify.

One thing I've noticed from talking to these highly touted players or people closely around them, a lot of them don't dodge the reclassification and one and done questions.

Finally, I spoke with a source late last night who is very close to the recruitment of Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis. Both received a recent visit from the Kentucky staff.

This person told me that the two high school and AAU teammates are not a package deal. Antoine's intentions are believed to go to Duke and team with Cole Anthony, whom he played along beside when he was younger.

Lewis is a different story. I was told that Kentucky is in a "good spot" here. John Calipari has been heavily involved in his recruitment since at least last fall. In fact, he was in New Jersey last year to see him, along with Naz Reid and Nick Richards.

I was told by the same person that Florida could be the biggest competition. Both Lewis and Antoine play for Team Rio of the Under Armour Association, and there are some Gator ties within the program.

As far as any reclassification goes, the pair are a year older than what most players are in the same grade. In fact, that is why they couldn't play with the U.S, National Team. But I was told reclassification is not "in the cards."
