Injury report

Well, the only good thing is that we will have more shooters on the floor. Cal will probably press us knowing we won’t have a true point guard on the floor. Even though he hardly ever does, he might try it tomorrow.

Sure would be nice to get Butler and Carr back at a 100% this season. Hope that's possible at some point. But if Carr still can't move any better than we saw in that minute at TN, then he's no real help. And I think the much less impactful Butler we saw when he last played is a direct result of his being less than 100% - so more of that may not necessarily help much either. Here's to hoping an all hands on deck with everybody helping to pull the wagon keeps working.

I don't think Cal knows how to press.

Cal doesn’t press, that's not his thing.

I don't like it but we gotta have Butler for the tourney. Carr needs to geal up to. Tomorrow is not panning out the way I hoped.

I definitely want Butler back, he makes us better, but there's just something about having a knock down shooter as your pg. I think it makes you much harder to guard.
It worked in 2011 with Brandon Knight too.

Notice Tennessee scored a lot after Ziegler went to the locker room Tuesday night?

With that “devastating” injury.

That’s what the clown 🤡 talking head kept calling it.

Wagner couldn’t hit in Rupp when he was a Wildcat. Tonight he probably hits 3-4 threes. Hope Pope tells his guards not to let Wagner go to his left on the drives.

I think the fact that when Robinson plays pg we have beaten some really good teams bodes well. It brings Brea into more minutes and starting Alminor helps our shooting also. I was worried about butler out for Ten because I thought we needed defense to beat Ten. But I don't think Ark's offense is a smooth Ferrari, so I'm okay with Butler out.

0ne other thing to note, it seems like every time a team has a week off, it throws them off. A little rust sets in.
Just like with that stupid camp Cal crap, our teams always came out playing much worse after that break.
We lost to Vanderbilt after we took a week off and we looked off that whole game.
Arkansas just had a week off, I bet they're going to have some rust.

This is a known thing in the NFL playoffs as well - if the #1 team can get rid of the “rust” quickly enough to overcome a hot wildcard team

Colkege football playoffs. All the teams that got the top 4 seeds and had a bye, lost right off the bat.

Look for Arkansas to be very rusty today. The ticket to catching fire offensively, is definitely not taking a week off.
