That's 25 years of garbage basketball.

Why do Indiana fans still think they're a blueblood? The evidence suggests that they're not even a top 3 Big 10 program during that span.

You may as well thrown Knight's last 5 years on the that pile and make it 30 years. Other than their miracle 2002unner-up run, they haven't had a great team since 1993 when they finished regular season #1 and had Cheaney, Evans, Henderson, Bailey and I think they lost in the Elite Eight. A decent team a couple of times in between but nothing equalling blue blood status.

They really fell off after the 1993 season. I think once or twice is all they’ve been past the sweet 16. And 2002 was a good run. But fluky. And that was 22 years ago.

Their 2012 team was good. Elite 8 team at least if not in UKs bracket IMO.

I was born in November 1987. I've never seen IU win a title and hope to die never seeing it.

IU's only blue blood status was when Knight was coach.

Ehhhh… we may not like it, but they are. The jersey and candy stripe pants are iconic. Like Golden Helmets for Notre Dame. I’m not saying that they are on our level, but Indiana is a basketball school.

I hate the Loosiers but I still think they are a blue blood regardless of the last 25 years. I know how passionate that fanbase is due to their very deep history dating all the way back to the early days of college basketball. Someday they will be back and I’m not against it. College basketball is best when the bluest of blue bloods are good, and a 5-time national champ with as much legacy as most programs is certainly a hole that college basketball feels imo.

They a football school now. Eh, I don't care to ever play them again after that debacle in 2012. I understand being excited to beat a blueblood rival but their fans were simply over the top crazy psychopaths. If by some mercy miracle Pope decides to renew then it should only be at a neutral site.

They never were a blue blood...top 10 all time program but never blue blood.

To put this in perspective, IU has 41 NCAA tournament appearances all time, UK 38 ELITE 8s alone, before even talking about tournament appearances

Not even close to top 3. Should have kept Samson.

IU has made it past the Sweet 16 one time in the last 31 years.
