I'm pretty sure it was an ironic parody of people who say the same thing about Cal. He was showing that you can say those things about every coach from time to time. I thought it was pretty good actually.

Yeah. I was really hoping they'd win this one since their schedule is nothing short of brutal from January 25th on, but props to Clemson, they really brought the fight to Duke after falling behind by 12 and Duke didn't respond well enough to it to get the win.
This year there don't seem to be to many dominant teams if any at all. Looks like everyones gonna have a couple losses going into march.
Actually this one might help our RPI as Clemson was 0-3 against SEC teams.

That's a little harsh. Amazing how many of the supposedly top guys coming into this season have not panned out.
Maybe it is a little harsh (I admittedly spoke out of anger), but for a 5 star guy, McDonald's All-American and top 20-25 recruit, you'd think he'd be able to provide more than 5 fouls in four minutes while looking like he had a semblance of a clue out there. It was that bad. Perhaps next year he'll be ready, but he looks like a one-star recruit at this moment in time.
Yep when I watched Jeter in the all star games it was laughable how bad he was . Dude is short for a center and can't jump over a step . Also he can't shoot and doesn't possess a low post go to move so Yes , Jeter is horrible . Was he just rated high due to committing to Duke or something ? Or was last year's class just that bad?

One newb noticed my moniker and asked if I posted from the wrong account. Another newb posted "busted" and the next thing I knew I had a mod follower. He also follows "kneeburns" and "mysticseer". Sorta like being on a wanted poster.

Usually - not always, but usually - it's a newbie that misses it. If you've read these boards for any length of time, you get an idea about how the regulars post Sometimes though, it's just plain obvious, no matter who wrote it. This was one of those times.

2014 freshman class ended up pretty weak

LOL no . Wiggins is flat out amazing . Parker and Randle will be very good . This years class ( 2015 ) is the weakest in a long long time . The only big man in the entire class who could play well in the NBA would be Stone . Murray is the only guard who could do so . And Simmons obviously could play from the jump. Ingram is a year or two away.
Yeah, thank goodness we didn't have a "surefire top 2 draft pick" flop like a fish out of water this year. Whew.
Jeter had not played well but just turned 18.Lance Thomas and Zoubek were both in the same boat agewise and they turned out OK long-term. He along with Skal need some time before they can be labeled as a bust. JMO

Kind of glad to hear Jeter is a bum and Kennard isn't doing too well either. Not sure if I could have stomached Coach K putting another stellar class on the floor two years in a row. Glad he's now going through the hardships of youth and recruiting like Cal had to ensure for years.
Stone. Watching him play the other night in the Maryland loss, I think he still had a 20/10 game and was like 86% from the line. I kind of wondered how much more it helps to be a OAD on a more upperclassmen-laden team. Guys at Duke and UK are struggling, and UK always seems to struggle after a mass-exodus. These teams really have to rely on young talent to succeed, where Maryland is a little more balanced, not only with more upperclassmen, but ones who actually contribute.
Wiggins is better at 20 than DeRozan was at 20. If Wiggins' ceiling is DeRozan, that's still an all star. I think he'll be a little better than that.
Randle is already one of the better rebounders in the league. He does struggle in other areas.
Really, it's hard to judge a class for a few years. Kris Dunn could be a 10 time all star for all we know.

Have to think playing with Zimmerman in high school made Jeter look a lot better than he really was. Hopefully he can turn a corner and provide some meaningful minutes at some point before Amile comes back. We're not going to beat many teams with a 6-man rotation.
Parker is a tweener right now, not athletic enough to play and guard SFs not powerful enougth to be a PF.
