Immanuel Quickley to Kentucky!!!

The best part is Matt Scott, a KU “insider”, was the one who had the foggy pick on the CB. Yet he tweets out “as expected, Quickley to Kentucky”.

Either Scott scams KU fans, or he’s the head honcho of the deluded cult over there.
That dude should start a pyramid scheme seriously, could fleece dumbasses like the ones that pop in over here for validation for millions. They would need a roster of 50 players to take all the guys he predicts they will get.

For the record, Quickley's mom was impressed by the Kansas visit. Never enough to even remotely pull him away from UK, but if a super close relationship with Cal & staff were not in place then I think KU would've been a big player. Not sure why considering I can't name a KU PG in the NBA besides Frank & he won't make it long.

This is true.

However, the outside forces of Kansas weren’t nearly as appealing to this family as many others...

Use your imagination.

Shows you what type of kid and family you all are getting.

Kid wanted to be at UK since the spring when I shared that with you.

Great start to the class. He’s a type of kid you want running your team.

Congrats, BBN.

This. It wasn’t really a secret that he wanted to be at UK. It’s kinda been writing on the wall for awhile now

Excited !

We are not nearly excited enough about this.

Cal just landed the PG he wanted all along, a top 10, versatile, hard nosed, two-way player who can shoot the ball and happens to be close friends with Zion Williamson.

And he did it with two 5 star PGs on the roster who don't project to be one and done.

We're jaded.

Someday this will all come to an end...........BUT, until it does......I remain jaded.

Ya know, I can name about every NBA roster top to bottom and I can't think of another one either. It's crazy.

Read through all my posts completely. I never once said I thought he’d be anywhere but UK.

What is this? FoxNews?

When Immanuel Quickley crystal ball changes from 100% UK to 90% UK, you said I can no longer promise IQ to UK 100%. Someone in his camp is anti UK, but not a family member. You covet your bases so you can come back here and pat yourself on the back if he goes to UK, or if he went to Kansas, you would be here saying I told you it wasn't 100%. I told you someone on his circle he trusted was anti UK. I know the IQ circle and EVERYONE was sold and loved UK from the start. It has been 100% UK since 10/03/2016 when he received his scholarship. You have no sources to any recruits or any coaches.

I'm a bit out of the loop with recruiting but I love what little I've seen of IQ. Seems like the perfect Cal PG, well rounded skill set and all of the intangibles you'd want. He's gonna carry on the tradition of excellent PGs and be a great leader for UK. Super excited about this guy.

This guy doesn't deserve this. He has been a good guy from day one. There's not an ounce of proof that he is playing us. Please give him the benefit of the doubt. We have few guys left over the years that even have an inkling as to what is going on in recruiting. Can we at least be neutral?

I said 85% to Kentucky. McCormack may commit to KU tomorrow. Quickley to Kentucky basically eliminates Kentucky for Grimes (doubt he wants to share time with IQ, Greene, Alexander, Baker), I'm not buying Williamson is a Clemson/Kentucky battle. I still think it is a KU/UK battle. So I'm still in contention for my predicted KU class, but put Dotson in place of Quickley.

Just because some agree that coach isn’t an “insider” / have sources doesn’t mean like everyone hates him or should bash him
I personally think he is a fantastic poster, but not an insider ... doesn’t have “inside sources” etc ... basically similar to the rest of us on here .

KU thinks every recruit is down to KU and (insert actual leader). Then he doesn't commit to KU and its all "It was obvious he was committing to (insert not KU school). We have this other (insert 3 star or Juco transfer) that would prefer anyway. That 5 star recruit didn't want to battle for minutes against our loaded (3 stars, jucos, and castoffs). Then KU fan moves on to the next 5 star that they have basically been eliminated from and repeats the cycle.

Would be funny if it weren't so sad.

Dotson probably ends up at UF.

Grimes is a UK/KU battle. Does he want to be the next Bledsoe to Quickley's Wall or Monk to Quickley's Fox or be the next Graham to Moore's Mason?

I know what I would pick.

I would not be shocked if Moore and Newman are your backcourt starters next year. I don't buy Newman getting drafted. 6'3 SG scorers are a dime a dozen. He should be back for his Redshirt Junior year.

I would be excited to have two guys with college starting experience in my backcourt, especially with Self as my coach. His team's are so much better with veterans leading the way (especially in the backcourt) than Freshmen.

Williamson could end up at KU, if Adidas pushes hard enough and makes enough promises.

McCormack has a Duke offer. Plus, you already have a big man in this class. You are probably not getting him.

If I were a KU fan, I would be hoping that the NCAA goes ahead and let's transfers play immediately. Self will be able to put together some very good veteran teams every year. He is just not great with Freshmen. Even the great Freshmen (Wiggins, Jackson) have failed to take him to the Final Four.

Your argument on Grimes downplays your returning players Greene and Alexander's talents. Everything I read here suggests that these two are borderline one and done players, yet you expect Grimes to come in next year and bench (start over) both of them as sophomores? Throw in Baker who is not a slouch just because he is a 4-star recruit, he's overlooked by Kentucky fans because of his rating by some recruiting services which may have seen anywhere from zero to a handful of these kids' games.

On McCormack, Azubuike and Preston are both likely gone after this season which gives us Lawson and Silvio and plenty of playing time for McCormack. Trust me, I'd take a Junior Azubuike over McCormack, but like I said, he's gone after this season. On Newman, he's as likely to return for another season as Diallo is for Kentucky. Ready or not, they're both leaving.

Your argument that Self coaches better with more experienced players is true of any coach. Even Calipari. His only title in his coaching career came when he mixed talent with experienced talent.

If Grimes is good enough, it won't matter who is back. At UK, if you are good enough, you play. If you want to get better, you go to UK and play against future pros everyday.

I don't think this guy back or that guy back will scare him off.

If Newman played at UK, I would agree. KU has a history of guys coming back. But maybe he is fine with a playing in the D-League. Some Cats have gone that route as well, so I am not knocking it. It's just not the normal path for KU players, who seem to stick around for all their eligibility, unless they are a OAD.

I'm rooting for ya'll on McCormack, but if Duke really wants him, he likely goes there.

Self, more than Cal, needs veterans. That's pretty clear.

Cal does have more success with a roster of freshman, than Self, but guarantee you he would rather have the same talent stay 4 years.

We've played 3 guards many a season so get the heck off of here with your stupid recruiting knowledge and unvaluable opinions. Jayturds suck.

Cal would be embarrassed to have top 10 guys stay four years. Poythress is the only top 10 guy Cal has had stay four years and that was because of an injury.

Also, everyone would use it against him in recruiting if he had a bunch of top 10 guys come back for 4 years.

Yup.

Last year, we played a 5-man rotation at guard with Fox, Monk, Briscoe, Hawkins, and Mulder.

If we don't get Barrett, we will probably see the 3-guard lineup again next season with two guards coming off the bench.

Green, Quickley, and Grimes or Johnson start together most likely, with Gigeous-Alexander and Baker off the bench.

If Green leaves, we might see three Freshmen start with Quickley, Grimes, and Johnson plus Gilgeous-Alexander and Baker off the bench.

Plenty of room for five guard to get minutes.

None of us should let the fact this kid was Kentucky bound from day 1 make his offical verbal being any less exciting. Some Kentucky fans ask just how talented of a player this kid is and should be obvious. Think about this. Quickley has been Cal's guy at point guard from the start of the recruiting class. I think we can all agree that if you plan on starting for Cal at Kentucky at the lead guard spot, you better be one of the most talented players in the country. When Cal offers this kid a spot at Kentucky, no fan should waste their time wondering about the kid's talent level. You also have to like the fact this kid still wanted Kentucky while a guy like Green is the current starting point guard and probably doesn't leave after his freshman season at Kentucky. To not be scared of the fact a SO Green is going to be even better than the freshman version and you have to beat that guy out if you want his starting spot in the lineup. You always want kids that have the talent and just enough confidence to go after a challenge like that.

Other than this is a random message board where the dude never had to introduce himself as anything remotely connected to coaching but did so anyway. He could have chosen any and I mean any name and shared whatever he wanted. He states he is concerned what he posts due to his profession. Who truthfully knows who this dude is.......nobody. Thus I have taken every bit of regurgitated info we already knew that he has posted with a very large grain of salt. Good guy or bad is irrelevant IMO.

Good get BBN and Coach Cal.

Quality player that Coach Cal can work with to make him a higher draft pick.

And Coach isn't done recruiting yet (I wish he was). But I think he has at least two more coming.

Hoping we get Grimes, McCormack and of course Zion.

Best of luck BBN. I look forward to our upcoming game. Should be a close one.

Big get. Literally. 6'10, 300 or there abouts,

Also, beat out Duke.

I'm sure the Duke fans will say they had cooled on him. Probably expect to get Bolden back and he will be a beast as a Junior.

He will definitely need a few more minutes on the clock so he doesn't walk out of time...

If Duke offered and the kid decided KU, gotta like Self going into a recruiting battle with K and coming out with the recruit. When you look at this kid, gotta admit the dude looks the part of Duke player. It is rare to see K lose one of those big white kids he seems to always have stocked full on Duke's bench. This kid looks like a big dude and should be ready to help right away at KU. Might want to ban the kid from eating the big mac anytime soon. If the kid gets any bigger, so much wasted basketball upside.
