UNC would be Chapel Hill Community College, athletically at least, If I had a say in the matter...

I think their situation is far worse as it spans decades...it is fraud at the highest of levels...fudging records and documents, and making things up out of thin air gets people in all other sectors locked up...

then I would go on to UL...not just for some prostitutes because to some degree that goes on at a lot of places, but what doesn't go on too many other places is how the Yum Center is financed and how Jurich has some how become the defacto slum lord of that city with how he essentially runs the university as well as the local media...i don't think he is far away from an "American Greed" special himself with how he runs things...

I would advise North Carolina that we would entertain their petition to rejoin NCAA division 1 athletics after they had demonstrated 10 straight years of academic integrity as independently verified by third party audits. All results achieved during years affected by corrupt academics shall be expunged from NCAA records and archives. All NCAA and conference winnings and proceeds during this period shall be returned to the NCAA. North Carolina shall compensate the NCAA for all costs incurred during as a result of the investigation.

Given the alternatives presented in the OP's post, I would certainly strip UNC of their titles. For decades, the run-of-the-mill college basketball fan has thought that UNC was this squeaky-clean, preeminent basketball program representing this preeminent bastion of higher learning, when, in reality, the emperor had no clothes. Those pretenders must be un-masked.

By contrast, as far as I know, the run-of-the-mill college basketball fan has never thought that U of L was anything more than what it has been shown to be - a classless outfit that manages to hook in some good players from to time, by any means necessary, to be coached by a guy who - while an utterly despicable human being - is a very good basketball coach.

I would, in order,
1- Strip UNC of their last 3 titles
2- Take away 6 scholarships for 5 years, 4 for 5 years after that
3- 3 Year postseason ban for all athletic programs implicated
5- Strip all wins in which UNC players that took AFAM classes played in
6- Force players who participated in AFAM classes to give back all awards and recognitions.
7- Try to get Roy removed from the HOF
8- Watch Chapel Hill Burn
9- I would try to get a federal prosecutor on campus, because the scandal, unlike ULs, actually devalues the degrees of students because it is academic. I would try to hold the counselors who gave the classes criminally liable.
I would have a zero tolerance policy for cheating and academic fraud and would use UNC as an example to others.

At this point, it's a pretty easy choice. Unc goes down hard. UofL is probably going to get in trouble soon enough. They probably won't have their title stripped, but they will more than likely get a nice punishment. Unc, in the other hand, doesn't look like they will get anything for a while, if ever.
