If UNC makes the tourney…

82-69. Woooof.

UNC has no business making the tourney. NONE.
they sure dont, but it's Bubba on the selection committee this year.

We will know if it's rigged or not, I'd say.
bwahaha ! ( maybe they should make him leave the conference room when they discuss UNC***) lol

But of course UNC*** will get in. I won't be surprised to see them try to freaking stick in Indiana and have THEM in our region INSTEAD of a UNC*** that could somehow backdoor their way into a chance meeting with us in the big dance. wouldn't surprise me at all.

I hope we get UNC*** or Indiana or dUKe again this year. Hell Add Kansas to that too, especially Kansas.

Sounds even better to me.

Probably right. Think they were leading when I posted the thread. Still expect the talking heads to try to talk them into the tournament if they pick up a Q1 win or two in the ACC tournament.

Believe they will have to play Duke in the semifinal, if they make it that far. Unfortunate for them they they aren’t the 6 seed in their tournament. Might have gotten shots at UL and Clemson before Duke.

Go back to the Duke board man. The guy is incredibly unlikeable personality wise. What's hard to understand about that? He is also not the best played in the country. He's beaten up on the worst ACC, maybe ever, and when played actual good competition in the OOC wilted in crunch time with multiple turnovers. Why would you even stop to defend him on a KY board. Comical.
Lempface man Flagg is the best player in college ball by a pretty good margin. He didn’t wilt against anybody. You saying you don’t want him or he ain’t very good is very silly

Flagg is a really good player, but I just don't see what makes him special. He's an athletic big with talent. I get that he's young, but in no way is Flagg near a generational player. In a few months he'll be playing against grown men that are his size. I think it'll make Flagg look closer to role player than generational.

I think there will be something exactly like that. In a round about way, they'll try to mask it, even though I've said all year long practically, that they will get a
East
1) dUKe
2) St. John's
3) Kentucky

etc.

yeah. that might be too... transparent. So I'm thinking its that and always been set in stone, or either

Midwest
1) Houston
2) Michigan State
3) Kentucky

I just dont see them sticking us in a region where the other #1 seed team is an SEC team. But that could be even a reason to PUT US into a region with a #1 SEC seeded team, because that means we wouldnt meet up until at least the regional finals. Which is, indeed, what they might very well do.

But it's Bubba and company running the selection show this year

does ANYONe SERIOUSLY THINK THEY ARE GOING TO LET unc** not get in, even after losing to dUKe today?

of course UNC*** will get in. And we're very likely to see them in our region. SOMEHOW

I say, just win everything here on out.

SEC tournament and #9

(Trust in Coach Pope)

Go Big Blue !
the teams we match up horribly with are imho houston, saint john’s and michigan state. guard heavy, quick defensive minded teams that have at least one player capable of hitting tough shots late shot clock. i’d be ok with almost any other matchup.

I agree, and that's exactly the reason why I think there will be a heavy dose of those matchups' potential they stick us with, some combination with those very teams. Houston and Michigan state seem a reasonable 1/2 in the midwest this year. St. John's as a matchup has been there all year long looming. A rematch with dUKe? I'm not convinced the NCAA selection committee will pair a potential 3 seed Kentucky in the East with dUKe and St. John's now. Even though I've said that all year long. It's too transparent and doesn't serve a greater purpose.

Besides, we got Bubba on the committee this year to explain to us how UNC*** will get in too.

I'm so jaded on the selection process having seen the shenanigans for so long , as all of you have, and maybe our age puts us at a disadvantage, methinks. We've seen them royally screw us in so many ways over so many years. I really dont think theyll change our seeding from 3 if we win the whole SEC tournament this year, it wont change a thing, but it should.

we shall see.

Just happy to have that 6 seed in the sec tournament.

let's go !

Go Big Blue !

I’m not fearful, but I do think it’s interesting how many of our rivals are lining up to possibly match up with us early.

Will say that I would rather play someone who doesn’t know us as well in round 2. I think we’ll be tough to prepare for on a quick turnaround.
Certainly we are. Our “problem” of late has really been they know us.

Like Auburn last week just backed off Amari, over guarded the perimeter and dared us to beat them with drives to the basket. Used the guy sagging off Amari as a free safety.

First not many teams have the ability to do that and second, almost no one would have the time to implement it.

Yep, if we can survive a round or two in the NCAA tournament, we become a serious problem for teams who are going to have to gameplan all of our action and nuances on short turnaround time. That’s where things can get interesting

UNC has no business making the tournament. Resume is lacking, ACC is garbage, metrics aren’t good (38 in Net and KenPom)

That said, I’d be shocked if they are left out

He lives to agitate UK fans. Its sad. These wins make min madder and more aggressive.

Could see them in the second round.

They could be an 11 in the play-in, matched with a 6 like St Mary’s.

Also could be true of the likes of Arkansas, Oklahoma, IU, Ohio St.

Lots of interesting possibilities as a 3 to face a rival of some sort in round two through unconventional means.
You forgot right? Dook is the best ever for beating up on a bad teams and the Cheats get a bump for having the courage to show up and try.🤡

ACC is amazing, what courage. I mean a 1 Quad 1 win team deserves it over a team like Texas with only 5 Quad 1 team wins right Joe???🤡

Last summer he played with them and I heard he was very impressive. I can't stand him, but that's what I heard.

His parents are trash.
Dunno anything about him but at one point he made a block and flexed and screamed for at least 5-6 seconds and I don't think he even made it across half court on the transition. Cool bro, you blocked a shot. I don't mind a little celebration and such but during an active play and you're jawing at the crowd acting like you just made the greatest play of all time, absolutely ridiculous. Keep that behavior away from my team, I don't care how good you are.

Hopefully we'll be done with the clown in the NCAA Tourney and he can move onto the Scream, Flex and Flop League.

He blocked it out of bounds, so nobody made it across half court . They all stayed on that end. Would have been pretty foolish to run to the other end of the court don’t you think?

As a 3 seed, there is a good chance you won’t have to play someone you’ve already played in the 1st 2 rounds. Louisville being our 6 seed is far fetched imo

Long shot for UNC to make it now, there’s not even enough meat to grind through for them to do any damage. They have to win the ACCT.
