Now, before the flamers start on me, we played a really sound game, defense was lights out, Stoops showed major league stones going for it on 4th down three times, and UK definitely deserved to win. Would have been a shame if we hadn't won.
But . . . for once the nightmare scenario happened to Ole Miss, not us. Like we have seen WAY too many times by our opponents, their defense only had to make one more stop to most likely win, we only had one drive to speak of the whole second half, had to pick up a late 4th quarter 4th and 7 at our own 20, with a 63 yard pass!!, then recover a fumble by our backup QB at the goal line in mid air by a TE who fell into the end zone, then got a reversal on a 3rd down catch, capped by their kicker who had only missed one FG all year long badly missing on the game tying kick. Ole Miss fans have to be sick (too bad, Kiffin is a prick just like SOS, only without the hardware, glad to see him lose)
In short, if the uniforms were reversed, a lot of us would be saying this movie was one we have seen a whole bunch of times. Thrilled to have the football Gods give us a break for once.
