If Saban beats this GA team twice...

What exactly does having Atlanta to recruit from have to do with anything? Is there a wall up that keeps other programs out? Every kid didn't grow up in Atlanta or pulling for UGA. Nothing you have said is correct. Mark Richt was one of the best men in college athletics but he let the program go down. When Kirby arrive we had zero OT on the roster, not one. We not talking history, what happened 10 years ago has nobearing on today. If getting to where UGA is as a program today is underperformed then there is only 1 that isn't.

UGA may not win a NC before I die, but as long as Kirby is there anyone in the East expecting to get to Atlanta has to beat his team and why every single East fanbase dislikes him.

What does having Atlanta have to do with anything? Is that a serious question?

Kirby is not underachieving, I said the Georgia program is one of, if not the, most underachieving program in college football history. I’m not taking a shot either, it’s just well understood. So to me I take that into consideration. Will it matter during THIS game? Probably not however Georgia losing this game would make sense from a historical perspective.

Nothing you said changes the fact that, as far as resources, UGA is historically the most under achieving program in the country. The only argument I’ll give you is Texas, but they’ve actually produced something of late.

UGA has too many resources to have one title and that’s attributed to a once in a generational talent. You have friggin Atlanta to recruit from, lol.

There’s no need in defending the Georgia program. As a fan you should be a little embarrassed boss. I mean the saying isn’t Florida is South Georgia, it’s Georgia is North Florida. There’s a reason for that and as a Georgia fan you should find it inexcusable.

If you guys don’t win this title I’m not sure it’s going to happen for a while if ever. With Oklahoma and Texas coming into the conference and Saban likely to pull a Joe pa, that window for Kirby is going to be smaller.
Tell me you haven't been paying attention to Texas football without telling me you haven't been paying attention to Texas football. LOL

As far as south Georgia goes, have you ever looked at a map? Example: Valdosta Hugh School is 108 miles from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium while it's 244 miles from Sanford Stadium. Actually UF is doing horrible recruiting the state of Georgia.

Don’t forget, this is Georgia. Probably the most underachieving choking team in the history of college football. Great program, but it is what it is. I’ve got Bama and not thinking much about it. I know they’re banged up but Saban vs. the program of Georgia isn’t a hard call to make.

The Braves did it.

Georgia followed.

What a ten-week stretch.

Atlanta isn't where the top kids are

Seeing as you are all knowing about Georgia, UGA and the game being over by the end of the first quarter I would have thought you would know the city of Atlanta and Fulton County doesn't produce a large number of elite athletes, they are in Qwinette County. But then again you have been wrong about everything you posted, why would that be different. Nice call on the game by the way, you nailed it.

I forgot you had a team of walk-ons and low 2* recruits. IMO UGa has the better talent overall from top to bottom. Yes, their QB is better, but you have the better team talent-wise overall. Nobody is making you all play a walk-on QB you have had multiple recruiting classes to fix that position. I stand by my previous statement, if Kirby doesn't beat Saban this game then he won't ever do it especially with the players Bama will be without for the game.

Well just so you know, Saban took 9 years to win his first Championship, Dabo took, 8, Kirby took 7, but he can't coach a lick right?

Go easy on the Gromster.

He’s let the Atlanta connection out of the bag, and now every national player will be hitting the 50th best Urban football recruiting center.

I probably should be kinder to him to him, I am sure he is very good at what he does, but understanding college football and recruiting isn't his strength, or telling the future.

Curious, I just flashed thru the nation’s Top 250, and found one listed as “greater Atlanta.”

I expected none.

Now, “Suwannee” Georgia, 30 miles north of Atlanta, there’s some talent!!

You really might want to brush up on facts before trying to debate Georgia football with a former Georgia HS football Coach.

Atlanta is not renowned for producing players.

Ha ha, OP has already been banned. These baller Cal sock accounts. Wonder how long 4pistachios and cowboycumboots last?

Everything lines up for Georgia in this one. Alabama is roughed up a little bit and is defending something rather than attacking with blood red vengeance in their eyes like Georgia will be. I agree that betting against Saban is a fool's errand but just this one time you've got to take Georgia. I look for them to whallop Alabama in this one. 35-17.

Man, you were very close.

I honestly can’t begrudge UGA this championship. They’ve been consistently in the hunt for years now. Yea, Bama was missing some key guys. But if you knock on the door enough times things eventually break your way, and imo Georgia earned it.

I also believe we can get there. But we MUST start by eliminating the head-scratching losses to $hitty teams that we should beat (looking at you Tennessee).

Where did I say Kirby couldn't coach? Please show me.

What I said was true, Bama was missing a lot of players and you were acting like your team didn't have the talent to compete with Bama. I've said multiple times UGA should beat Bama. I said it before the SEC championship and I said it before the national championship. Last night was UGA best chance at beating Saban and I was correct. Talk about a sore winner, congrats on your championship.

We need to stop with putting Kirby and Saban in same sentence.

UGA beat who they had in front of them which is all they can do.....but the Bama injuries, how bad UGA played in SEC title along with befuddling offensive performance in first 3 quarters of title game...UGA was far from impressive. (Do you still defend giong with Stetson Bennett IV)?

Not exactly a coaching clinic from what I saw. Looked alot like Stoops offense under Eddie Gran and at least Stoops had sense to can him and go in another direction entirely with young NFL guy.

There is a reason why I have had grump on ignore for years now.

I like every other UGA fan that comes over here.

But he seems like he feels like he is honoring us with his presence every time he posts.

I don't have many people on ignore, mainly people who just try to start sh!t every thread. I like reading fans from other teams takes, but I take most with a grain of salt. I get after winning the title someone might want to run their mouth a little bit, but to act like I have been putting down Georgia or Kirby is laughable. He does come off as high and mighty, but people just have different personalities. I have thick skin so it doesn't bother me.

Are you trying to say that the metro-Atlanta area and surrounding counties are not one of the biggest hotbeds of high school talent in the entire nation?

I have no clue what you guys are talking about. The Atlanta metro and surrounding areas have always been a hotbed for high school recruits. Now the last 3 years, if we’re being technical, I haven’t dug into that as much but I’m sure it’s still the same. Georgia has some of the best recruiting ground in the entire country. The fact that Georgia has been as lack luster as they have been over 60 years is astounding. The state of Georgia is routinely top 3 in the country for football recruiting, and yes that includes the metro Atlanta and surrounding areas.

Eh, on the game, Alabama was too banged up. Congratulations on the championship. I know you’ve waited a very long time. I know a few Georgia fans in their 40’s who’ve never seen one. Pretty cool when the career underdogs lands on top.
