If Knox commits to uk this weekend

With the visits by Cam, I'm getting the same bad feeling.

The visits shouldn't change one's mind about this. More than likely he won't come if get Knox, so he has to take these other visits. He'd be stupid not to. I think it's more likely than not if Knox goes elsewhere, CJ will commit to UK. Either before he finishes the visits, or possibly after.

I'd say Cal would gladly still take Cam Johnson, but I don't know if Johnson would commit (assuming Diallo came back). If Knox committed along with Bamba, I'd say we would start:

C. Bamba/Richards
PF. Vanderbilt/Washington
SF. Knox/Gabriel
SG. Diallo/Johnson
PG. Green/Alexander
Bench: SKJ, Baker,

In my mind, it would depend on whether Johnson would be comfortable with having a couple guys maybe in front of him in the rotation. He's not starting regardless unless Knox commits elsewhere and Diallo stays in the draft. We need shooters though, and Calipari most likely wouldn't turn down him down if he still wanted to commit. CoachX also said that he was Kentucky's to lose "If they still had room". With Bam staying in the draft, we will have a spot for him.

I'll bet money if that's the roster.Washington will start over Vanderbilt

The perks...just the perks...
What are the perks? The education would be awesome if you planned on staying but Knox isn't . I don't get it really. The kids that transfer say they were lied to. What do the kids that transfer from UK say? I've never seen where any of them say Cal lied to them. One reason I've warmed on Cal over the years. At least he seems to care about the kids.

There's bigger slime balls coaching college ball than Cal out there. At least he seems to care about the kids.
:flush: I think you were trying to give Cal some credit, but poor choice of wording right there.

Yeah, I'll edit my post that wasn't what I meant. I used to think he was the worst of the worst but I think I was wrong. In reality recruiting is a nasty game and no coach in big time D1 ball is a choir Boy and I don't think they should be made out to be but some go way too far and obviously some of the schools go along with it. What UNC has done blows my mind. I think it's worse than what louisville did.

Fair enough. As for your question about the Duke perks, we learned last year that Duke has been selling that if you come to Duke you are "set for life." What does set for life mean? I guess you can flop freely and never answer the the NCAA, go to the NBA and eventually become a college bball talking head at ESPN. The life cycle of many Dukies.

I saw that too but if you play for any big program and don't make it in the NBA you'll be given some sort of sales job by a rich booster. I would think anyways

And ESPN won't be able to hire freely anymore since they're losing subscribers by the millions and will continue to do so. Won't it be weird if in ten years or so the network went under? With how everything is moving towards the Internet and apps I think it's possible.

And what's up with that Matt Jones thread? Who is he? Sorry I'm banned from my board for a month for being mean to a Crean supporter. I've got to get my college bball forum fix in for the week.

No chance Knox comes here. Kind of hoping there are more graduate transfer guards or juco players because I think Johnson goes PAC 12.

Daddy seems to want Duke.I don't know what it is that make parents of athletes so in love with them.
Lot's of kid's parents love UK. One of the big reasons Cal is such a great recruiter is that parents trust him with their kid. We make a big deal out of the ones who are steered to Duke by parents. We shouldn't. UK isn't for everyone and neither is duke.

Sigh....just sigh...

Can you link me where a Duke transfer said he was lied to?

No he didn't
Yes he did. That's what I read anyways when the guy transferred. I just found it. Derryk Thornton or something like that. He was told he would be used in a ball screen offense but then wasn't. Not that that is a big deal but he may be the only one to tell the truth.
