and I had to vote today, Jamal Murray is my SEC Freshman of the Year and Tyler Ulis is my SEC Player of the Year.

Oh I know Ben Simmons is the #1 Pick for the NBA draft but we are voting on performance not NBA selection. Unless some miracle happens, like winning the SEC tournament, LSU is NIT. Simmons started the year being compared potentially to the elite players in NBA history. Some even threw out names like Kobie and Lebron to compare him with. An NIT is not what he had in mind.

No team in the SEC has anyone close to Ulis this season in overall performance. Ulis takes over the game and dictates it from start to finish. Murray - Freshman of the Year in the SEC and Ulis - Player of The Year. No brainer.

if you look at everything we've had to deal with, from Skal not even being close to what was projected, to the seemingly endless line of injuries, to the multiple lineups and playing styles, and to still be in control of the SEC... you could make a really good case for Coach of the Year for ol' Cal, as well.
