Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, etc. have 5 star future NFL players at almost every position. I don’t think some realize that.
false. Those teams have an average of 10-12 five stars on their roster half are underclassmen that seldom play.
Star rankings do not directly translate into performance. The quality of a team is not just a collection of star talent. For instance Georgia's front 7's average star ranking is higher than ours but there is no way in the world I would trade them. Clemson is loaded too and Duke beat them. Each week in college football 30% of less talented teams win.

Wow sone people are still negative after 5-0. Beating Georgia is POSSI LE, not saying they will but to act like they have NO chance especially the way Georgia has struggled and shown some weak spots is just dumb. It's like some people have to be negative e to get by.
And that's because of a few factors: upperclassman, coaching, scheme and want to.

No they don't lol. It is mathematically impossible for these teams to have all NFL players at every position. UK has a ton of NFL players on this roster as well. Wallace, Deon, Barion, Ray, Key, Jackson, Hairston, M.Cox, E.Cox, Horsey, Lovett, Afari, Saunders, Silver, Dingle, Weaver, Wade all will get long looks from NFL scouts. I'd say Wallace, Deone, Afari, Barion, Saunders, Hairston, Ray Davis are near locks to be drafted. I'd put Silver, D. Jack, Weaver, Key, M.Cox, E.Cox, J. Dingle, Wade, Horsey, Phillips, Key in that NFL radar category. That's a lot of talent

Exactly right. This defense could well be our best since '77. Walker and Silver/Hayes inside might be best in the league. They get penetration and are disruptive. Our pass rush this year includes collapsing the pocket. That gives any QB trouble. We have few injuries at this point and the O is improving.
BINGO And we have the best 3 headed coaching monster in college football in Stoops, Coen and White.

The Cats aren't playing for a national title. Nobody is winning a national title with a QB and wide receiving corp that can't connect on simple passes. We have a great defense but anyone that stops the run beats us at this point in the season.
It is NOT likely we beat Georgia, but to act like there is ZERO chance is just stupid of some. Georgia has shown they are very gettable. Damn man I will tell you what I can't imagine, is how this board would be if we was 0-5. Lol.
This...Georgia beat a down Auburn team by 7 and a South Carolina team with one of the worst OLines in the country by 10 after being down at half. We absolutely have a legit shot of winning this game. The LOS wins games and we match up very well on both Lines.

There's a difference between backing your team and making insane comments that you yourself know is way out there. Long season left with plenty of games we could lose or win. Nothing wrong with optimism, but it's comments like yours that make our fanbase the laughingstock of the conference.
I’ll trade our coaching trio for any trio that’s won a championship together. Ours will never sniff a championship or even come remotely close. Mediocre expectations from our fanbase is the main reason for the mediocre results that we’ve got under Stoops. Not all of us are happy with 6-6 seasons and TurboTax bowl appearances.
We are far from being the laughing stock of the conference dude. Our fans, along with Georgia are about as realistic as fans get. Tennessee and South Carolina fans still believe they can win the Natty every year. When they don’t, they fire the coach.
I don’t get it. There’s one way to achieve greatness and that’s to have high expectations. Stoops has been here for over a decade and we haven’t even came close to being a contender. No hard feelings, it’s time to move on from Stoops, IMO. He’s not going to magically start winning titles like some fans like to believe.. lol

Beating mediocre East teams was something his predecessors did about 50 percent of the time: Stoops beats ranked teams about fifty percent of the time.
He took us to our third Florida Bowl in 2016, our fourth Florida Bowl in 2018/19, our fifth Florida Bowl in 2020, and our Sixth Florida Bowl in 2021/22.
I thought a Kentucky Bowl game required a heavy coat until Stoops came along: now I need a heavy coat of suntan lotion to attend most of our bowl games.
Our program has played on New Year’s Day five times, and two are with Coach Stoops.
When he arrived, we had not fielded a team with more than 5 Four or Five Star players since the “Star System” solidified in the late 90’s.
We are now in the Top 20 for “Blue Chip” recruits, boasting 30 former Four and Five Star recruits.
We have beaten Florida 4 of the last 6. The Florida team we beat on the road in 2018 finished with 11 wins and a NYD6 beat down of Michigan.
We have finished second in the East three times since 2016, second only to UGA in the last 5 seasons. And we are in the running this year.
Our final rankings in 2018/19 and 2021/22, 12th and 15th, respectively were our only ranked finishes since 1984, and represent half of our ranked finishes in 70 years.
As of tonight, we have a .500 record in the SEC since 2016, exceeding the eight year records in conference play of Auburn, UT, Vandy, South Carolina, Missouri, Ole Miss, Arkansas and Mississippi State.
All top coaches might be overpaid, but Stoops’ package is about where it belongs!!
