If Coach Cal Did Go To The NBA,

Since we are throwing out something that prob won't happen I will play along. We lose Cal we end up with Phil Jackson. lol

do a search, find the 95 other threads with the same exact question, the answers you seek are there. Unoriginal Hack.

It would be nearly impossible, but what the hell? I say we swing for the fences and try to pry Mark Schmidt from St. Bonaventure.

Tell us who the coach is of the team you really root for and I'll tell you who my first choice would be.

If was I was a troll and posting at your rate I'd be up to 20,000 and I would like to change my user name but don't know how. I think I was drunk when I came up with it.

Can't help it, I post. Plus I need to get up to 20000. It would make me feel all squishy inside.

I'm not quite sure why you have an ego based on what I have seen you post on here. :D

Oh my ego has to do with life in general. Nothing to do with this board. I have noticed some people want to be thought of as the smartest posters on here while some just like to post occasionally on a subject they like and some, like myself, just like to post even if it is something the "smartest among us" think is dumb, stupid, or even retarded because we don't care what others think or believe.

Love the originality. If everyone shared these same views those "smart posters" on the board would get run off in a hurry. I can't stand em, for one. Spearhead the movement, wildcat8084.

And a great big Thank You to Jason. Your response certainly does have originality seeing how you placed it after "the" and before your period.

Archie Miller. I think he is a better coach than his brother, but the only concern would be his ability to recruit at a high level. His brother has the recruiting part down, but can't seem to make it past UK's greatest tournament hurdle, historically speaking. We don't need a guy that can put together top recruiting classes, but can't make it to the Final Four. We need someone with a high coaching acumen that may be able to garner success from lesser parts, but also capitalize on UK's namesake, in regard to recruiting.

I'm just calling a spade a spade, but that may be considered trolling around here.

If Dekker doesn't have a historically amazing second half from behind the arc, Miller prolly gets his FF this year. Kid hit 8 of 10 in the 2nd half!! It was crazy, never seen anything like it in E8.
Sean will get his FF and Championship as well. Its just a matter of time. I think some people forget how freaking hard it is to get to a FF or championship. If everyone had that type of attitude, nobody would've wanted Cal to come here. He had been to FF but not won championship and that's what we want here.....it's all about championships. So, let me ask you this, did you want Cal to come in 2010? I would bet you did if I had to lay down a dollar. Its really naive to think Miller "can't" get to a FF. I guess he "cant" win a title either since he can't even make FF. Miller is a young coaching STAR who I'm sure will get over that hump shortly. You keep pounding on the door and its bound to fall. As of this moment, he would be my choice if Cal were to leave today and I would feel extremely confident that he would win championships here. No doubt about it. Miller at UK= amazing run!

Obsessive worrying is just wasted time. Call it speculation if you like but that's just an excuse to see if some nameless poster can reassure you that your fears are groundless.

Celebrate what you have and enjoy yourself.

The sun will rise the next morning and UK will get another great coach to continue their great basketball tradition. I have no idea who they would get but they will get a good one and the UK effect will make him a great one. I definitely will not be one of the bridge jumpers off of the high bridge over the Kentucky River on I65 if Calipari leaves for the NBA. UK basketball will continue to be elite. Calipari is a great coach but he is not Kentucky Basketball. UK was elite before Calipari and will continue to be elite after he leaves.
