Don’t go telling me he’s not a real Kentucky fan.

That he’s been exposed saying such and such a place he’s a fan of some other team.

That’s been said and I don’t know if I buy it but the bottom line is I don’t care.

Over the past week, MANY people here (and even a few people here I otherwise respect) have said that it’s time to move on from Mark Pope.

That is milktoast.

You are entitled to your feelings. I am not going to challenge your decisions to say those things.

And frankly it’s been a week where it’s very highly understandable that a whole lot of people would be frustrated enough to feel like they had to say /some/thing. Pope earned that. And I’ll never even say you’re not real fans for saying things that I’m pretty sure you’re going to wind up regretting.

But don’t ever again tell me the most pathologically optimistic, upbeat, and gracious guy on this whole board is not a real Kentucky fan. If that’s what being a fake fan looks like, bring me more of that.

Trust me there are a lot of posers on this site, it seems to be a hobby of some rivals to create fake accounts.

I always felt those guys were just huge kentucky fans/homer's/simpletons (I dont mean that to sound mean). If they are indeed trolling Kentucky fans to THAT extent.. who is the loser in this situation? Us, who just kinda say "ok there Billy, im sure we will win every game"? Or them, who spend 4 hours a day on a UK forum, a team they despise?

Idk, I find it harmless. I'd rather have optimistic types rather than pessimistic ones.

I don’t care if he’s a troll or not. Personally I think he is. But one thing I’m positive of is he’s a jerk. He says the stupidest sh*t on the planet. I hope he never comes back but I’m not that lucky.
That person is a troll and mocks fans and the basketball program. Very likely a rival fan.

Never understood the whole troll thing, I post to have fun, I post what I
think about the current situation of UK basketball, I post because I'm a
long time fan. I don't post stuff that I wouldn't say to someone's face if
we were talking in person.

I post like I am 6 beers deep sitting in a bar with a bunch of my friends and enemies.
And during the games..........well, let's just say I have sworn off game threads until I can get my blood pressure under control. And my fingers.
I feel ya there. Man it’s been bad lately. For obvious reasons but still. My heart is too bad and my blood pressure.

He committed Hari Kari after the Vikings playoff loss. He ain't coming back.

Same. Well, the first part anyway. I post like I am six beers in because during games I am often posting during commercial breaks while sitting at a pub.

How does one get their fingers under control once they are free?

I usually stay off the board for about 24 hours after a loss. Especially after losing to a team that, on paper, we are better than. Some of the people on here that are notoriously negative posters make me want to tell them where to go and give them directions on how to get there.

You don't understand it because your life isn't sad and devoid of all meaning without stirring sht up. Being a troll or edgelord gets old when the novelty wears off... At least it does if you have anything to contribute to society.

Same here. That Arkansas game about took me out. Had to walk it off and quit watching it for a while.
I didn't watch the last 10 minutes of Arkansas game and didn't watch quite a bit of Ole Miss game just to keep my sanity. Just cant stand to watch when the L seems inevitable, or the refs suck, or the announcers suck, etc...

I’m sure he is just lurking 👀 with one of his other accounts. We shall see what happens with his ban. He might just show up as PopesPope or something to the effect.
