Bruce Pearl may be a 'likable' guy but he is not fit for the Kentucky job. Hasn't won shit to warrant the Kentucky job. Why some of you all fantasize over something that will never become reality is beyond me. For those of you who want Cal out the door so bad, you want to replace him with a guy that routinely gets his ass busted by Cal? Be smarter.

Pearl has a final four, 3 SEC regular season titles, and a SECT title since 2016. 3x SEC coach of the year. Sutton had 5 SWC titles, and a final four. Yet, UK hired him. People on this board think you have to have 3 titles, 9 final fours, and 1000+ wins to be hired at UK. We are too entitled sometimes.

Calipari was at age 49 when he got the UK job and had been to the Final 4 twice with 2 different programs. It is delusional to even think about comparing his resume to the underachieving Bruce Pearl at the age of 64. People's hatred and vitriol for Calipari gets in the way of logic. It took Bruce Pearl 24 years as a head coach to work his way up the ladder to finally get a Final 4.

Now I have no opinion on Pearl one way or the other. When he was at USI, I do know some people that were there then and most seemed to like him. He did the the fans involved and he didn't put the fans down. But I really don't care that much about Pearl as a person/coach.
But I do have an opinion about people who bitch and complain about something and then don't back it up with examples, but you require examples from others. If you're not at least FAIR, then that's when I stop listening to your opinions and consider them pretty worthless. There's only a VERY FEW on here that I have very little respect for because of this exact reason. One person's opinion may differ from your's, but it is EQUALLY as important to at least be heard. Yes I could list a couple of "human" faults for Cal, with examples if you like. But I would expect the same from you about Pearl. If I misunderstood your post, I apologize. It is sometimes difficult when writing as opposed to talking, to get the feeling of what the poster really means. Just like your 2 last sentences...my " little lecture falls on deaf ears" and "best of luck in your future endeavors", I interpreted that to mean that you were being very sarcastic. The difference in Pearl and Calipari is Calipari somewhat keeps to the code and Pearl doesn’t. Both are POS when it comes down to it, you’re fooling yourself. Guys are cut from the same cloth, but Calipari got the coveted job and Bruce got left behind. Therefore Calipari gets to play the elitist role and seem above it now, he’s not and never has been. You seem pretty damn gullible man.
People that know Calipari personally laugh at his schtick always have. He’s always been a win at all cost, low character type who knows how to sell a product and win (until recently).
Which, I’m fine with. As long as the UK coach wins and keeps it straight while he’s here. If you cheat I don’t need to know it. Win and keep the spotlight off of us, and this is where Pearl screws up and it’s why he will never get the job like Calipari. Calipari knew how to play the game and Pearl laughs and says f that. Coaches all across College Basketball have operated in the grey area to get to the top. It isn't just a Pearl or a Calipari thing. Self is one of the biggest slime balls if not the biggest in the game. Pitino lol, Penny Hardaway, Larranaga, Sampson, Sean Miller, Will Wade. Calhoun, Ratface, Boheim, Harrick, Haskins, Tarkanian, Steve Fisher, Roy Williams and even John Wooden back in the day. It is an endless list but you get the picture. You just don't want to hear it when your teams is winning, it's your guy or it doesn't fit your narrative. The media certainly would have you believing Coach K & Wooden were holier than thou.
