That was my thinking too. Man, people give up too easy.We were never down “big” though
We were never down “big” though
Huh? Must have missed the part of the game when we got down “big”. 😂when we got down big in the 2nd half, only to wake up and surprised we won. I hate seeing us lose. I missed a great finish.
That game fixed me for turning off games earlyInteresting you mention going to sleep after getting down big. The last time I actually did that was this game :
I was scratching my head thinking maybe I fell asleep for part of the game and didn’t know it. I don’t remember us being down big. It's not that we "give up too easy." It's that it is SO PAINFUL for us to see the 'Cats lose that we just turn the game off rather than expose ourselves to the possibility of that painful experience. At least, that's the way I feel about it. But the honest truth is ... after I turn the TV off, I'll pull up the ongoing report about the game on the ESPN website (which is great, by the way, for following a game). Last night, I followed the play-by-play on ESPN until the OK kid made the free throw to put them up 1 with 0:20 left. I turned to a different website for a couple of minutes and then went back to the ESPN website and was elated to see that the 'Cats won !
When you get old, you'll understand.
Go 'Cats ! ! !
Cal was right about yall.when we got down big in the 2nd half, only to wake up and surprised we won. I hate seeing us lose. I missed a great finish.

You know what though? Good for you. The OP did it right. I'm looking through his history. What I don't see is a post or some even need to start a thread thread where they announces their departure. "That's it. I've seen enough. We're going to lose. I'm going to bed". You kept it to yourself. Thank youwhen we got down big in the 2nd half, only to wake up and surprised we won. Couple of those cowardly messages pop up during close games and it's infuriating. Some people are social misfits and don't realize, you're making everyone's experience worse. Bad enough we are losing, don't need some panicky baby who can't keep it inside. Br a man and keep those emotions to yourself.
Game threads bring out those folks in spades. Some of our fans seem to just live for moments like that. Always there to pile on but nowhere to be found when the good times are rolling. You know what though? Good for you. The OP did it right. I'm looking through his history. “That boys got a lot of quit in him “ .when we got down big in the 2nd half, only to wake up and surprised we won. I hate seeing us lose. I missed a great finish.
People make some insane comments in the game thread .. its real time , its emotional , every pass/play/set/missed shot is examined and dissected. Every coaches move , every substitution , and it just gets messy . Especially if things are going not going our way , which happens in spurts every game. BUT , but whats super irritating is for folks that dont post in the game thread to pull up commentsd made " imn the heart of the battle" so to speak and try to embarrass or mock or judge a fan's fandom based on game threads .. ok rant/ thread hijack overIt was frustrating at times and it was a late game. But i was surprised how many people claimed they were turning it off and going to bed in the game thread. Never once felt like we were out of it.
I actually made a few posts that the foul count was surprisingly going in our favor in the 2nd half and that was really going to help us. And it did. Godwin fouled out, we shot 7 more free throws (mostly in the 2nd half) and that actually might have been our biggest FT margin in our favor in SEC play.

I'm not young (I turn 61 tomorrow), but I just can't go to bed while the Cats are playing. Even if they're losing, I will stay up and watch until the end; I've seen too many things over the years that will not let me stop watching. I live in PA, so I'm on EST time; got to bed between 11:00 and 12:00 and had to get up at 5:00 to get ready for work. My wife always thinks I'm crazy and I was certainly tired yesterday, but all I can say is that I bleed blue. I've been a Cats fan all of my life and I "have" to watch. My wife is from New York and she just has never been able to understand my passion with the Cats!
GO BIG BLUE!!!
What time are you going to bed tonight ?? It might bring us luck !! 😎when we got down big in the 2nd half, only to wake up and surprised we won. I hate seeing us lose. I missed a great finish.
Nobody could hear themselves think !!! 😎Can you imagine if all the people from the game threads were in a room together in person watching during the game?
Thank you! That's exactly the gift that I want!Happy birthday! I ordered you a big win to celebrate you turning 61. Hope it arrives in time.
