bit I'm getting very excited about it now. If Mo joins these guys I think they will become something very special by March. I sincerely doubt anyone will be cherishing the thought of playing these guys in the tourney.

Cam or a Diallo return makes me think we will be the team to beat on the first Monday on April. I think we drop a few on the road but give Big Blue Nation plenty to roar about all year. Im ready for this new batch of Cats!

I think the people who run this site need to get sponsors from zanax or pamprin or some pill that stops people from worrying. Good Grief there is a new post every five minutes with someone worrying about this or worrying about that. We have a great history, a talented team, and a proven coach who btw is in the hall of fame. Just sit back and relax and enjoy this era of UK basketball.

This.

Worrying is having health issues or inability to pay the rent...etc. Worried should never be used with basketball, specially coming from the fan side of things. We'll be fine people. It will be very tough to win it all and nothing is ever a given (look at '15) so enjoy the ride and whatever happens, happens. Trust in Cal to field a good/entertaining team.

My worry is from striking out on BBM tickets 3 years straight and end up paying for tickets.

Maybe people worry about basketball, because they do have other problems in their life. It's a distraction. What does "We'll be fine people." mean? "Fine" is hanging a banner to me. That's entertaining to me.

we still need an outside threat! hopefully Diallo stays

Say what?

Then you're a fool who is going to be unhappy almost every year, including decade+ long stretches at a time. Your persistence in posting on this board is an attempt to spread your form of lunatic misery to others, or to get some sick satisfaction out of agitating people. Because very few are going to buy into your form of mental illness.

I suggest you get the psychiatric help you so clearly need.

I disagree. Wonder how those fans of teams that have been hanging banners lately would feel if they were in our shoes with all the talent we've had?

51-58-78-96-98-12. And 12, BTW counts as "lately" for most rational human beings.

Gaps of 7 years, 20 years, 18 years, 14 years. And, BTW, Alabama football had a gap of 20 years without a title, Ohio State over 30. Notre Dame is headed towards 30 and counting. Duke under Krzyzewski went through a period of winning 1 in 18 years. Dean Smith went 0-6 in his first 6 FF's, 2/12 for his career.

"All the talent we've had" comes with a cost, and that's continuity and experience. Not having those are disadvantages, and only morons think you plug in future pros and it automatically means you're better than everyone else. USA Basketball had enormous talent advantages every time they played from 1998-2006, and they never won squat. Duke had enormous talent last season. Michigan's Fab 5 lost 9 games before making their tourney run (and no titles despite having all their guys 2 seasons).

Winning titles is simple only for the simple minded.

Some get really offended if you aren't satisfied with one title over Cal's span. They go to great lengths to defend his tourney record. Strong, strong feelings for Cal. Maybe they feel uncomfortable about their feelings? I've never had those feelings, so I don't know how I'd react. I never will either.

Really insensitive comment. People have real anxiety issues.

That said...great idea. Looking into it now. Thx

Some get offended because trolls like you ignore every single thing that's happened at UK since Cal's coached here except the (only) 1 title.

Who says any of us are "satisfied"? Most probably aren't. We just choose not to be one-note idiots about it, and look at the bigger picture. Not everyone lacks intelligence to the extent that you do. People can recognize that this has been a superb 8 years for UK, and looks to remain superb as long as Cal is coaching, while at the same time being disappointed that it's only resulted in one title so far. I'm sorry that your parents dropped you on your head as an infant and rendered you incapable of that level of thinking.

There are 351 Division I basketball schools. But apparently if we aren't the absolute best out of all 351 every single year, it's just not good enough.

Sounds like perfectly reasonable logic to me. Anybody else think that titles1 is actually cut-nets back from the dead?

Quite a few on here seem quite content with getting to Final Fours and having the most guys in the NBA. Cal has a cult following that is more infatuated with him than winning titles.

^This.

I get a little laugh out of people who claim that Cal is a choke artist because he's "only" one one championship in eight years. My God, man, do you know how hard it is to even get your self in contention for a championship? There are some wonderful programs with great coaches that have gone decades without one. We go to the sweet sixteen like 85% of the time and are in the hunt for the whole thing virtually every year. With the parity in modern college ball, that shouldn't happen. But for us, it does. Learn to appreciate it.

If UK sucks so bad at winning titles, then please name all the other teams with more. I bet it's a long list too [eyeroll].

Relax! It's the off season. Not many things to talk about at the moment.

The very last thing I tell anyone in BBN is what they should or shouldn't be worrying about.
You aren't going to stop or contain that.
UK basketball is something that is extremely important in the lives of a large portion of the fan base and you aren't going to change their excitement for UK basketball.
They want to be excited for it, so therefore they worry about the team. I get it.

I was worried but we are either a Johnson or Diallo away from being a final four contender, one of those two plus Bamba then the team will be a title contender.

I don't think Diallo comes back or we get Johnson, we'll close with Bamba and call it a class.

I know nothing though.

I don't disagree with your sentiment, but pamprin is basically excedrin. As it contains caffeine, it would likely make people more anxious, not less.

I think we still end up with Diallo and Bamba. I think Knox took Cam's spot.

We will all know soon!
