I was done with Levi's when he didn't play in the bowl game

Yes, Levis lead us to a NYE Bowl win. He had nothing to gain by playing in the MCB. Who was the Ole Miss QB who got hurt in the Sugar Bowl and slid a few rounds? Lawrence McGahee blew his knee out in his last game at Miami and ruined his future. I don't blame Levis for sitting. I am pissed at Stoops for not having a backup ready to go for the MCB, but I believe that issue has now been rectified.
Are you talking about Willis McGahee blowing out his knee in the national title game? Or is there someone else…

The players can play or not play. I can tell you this. I'm not spending any more time or effort going to a bowl game. I went to the MCB and I actually feel a little bit stupid for going.

Most of us didn’t care about the game and none of us had to take a hit. I totally get why he wouldn’t want to play and it was the right call. His last game was a win against Louisville. That’s pretty baller.

This wasn’t the Citrus Bowl he sat out.

Especially when you could have went to see Goose. Big, big mistake.

According to some NFL salary sites, the NFL will pay Levis about 9 million on his rookie contract with 4 million guaranteed.
If accurate, I think the NFL cares more about his ability to read defenses.

I said it before the bowl game and will say it again, if any of you were Levis' dad or grandpa and you advised him to play in the bowl game you are stupid. The kid was injured and needed to get healthy for the combine. Sure, he dropped, but he was still one of the first 33 people drafted in to the NFL. He will make more in 3 years than most people on this board have made in their life to this point. So criticize away, but you have to protect the assets you have. Professional athletes have such a small window to earn all that they can. I appreciate them being smart and maximizing their earning potential.

Yeah, I was talking about McGahee and Matt Corral. Obviously you play if it's the National Championship Game and/or the Sugar Bowl. But injuries do happen. I consider bowls like the Music City Bowl to almost be pre-Spring games, based on where our program is now. I don't mind watching the young guys play in those.

It's Levis' decision. His future, etc.

That said, I just couldn't do it, if it were me.
