I think we are damn good but Auburn is legit.
I think we are as good as anyone right now. Tennessee is also good. The whole SEC is good. Going to be brutal during conference play.

I dont think we are. Hard to bet against auburn IMO. They played Duke at Duke before the OP comes back chirping about that.
Hate to pop your bubble, but wait until we play a few SEC road games before you cut the nets down.
The SEC is going to be a nightmare on the road. I was looking at scores tonight and once again how many teams are in the top 25. I've never seen a conference so loaded. It's going to be tough here very soon. Are we the best team in the country? Honestly, NO. We're pretty good but we do have deficiencies (especially at the free throw line which could become the thing that knocks us out if we don't improve). Auburn looks like the team to beat right now. Duke is getting better and don't neglect UCONN just because of that early season string of losses. There are many very good teams out there. Wouldn't say we're the best at all, but we are very good.
I don't care for our light switch mentality and we need to fight more on D and going for loose balls. These guys have only played 11 games together though. We're only going to get better.
In the SEC alone there’s a handful of teams better than UK. You’ve got every right to sh*t rainbows if ya want 👍
The SEC road games are going to be tough. Getting 3 marquee wins before conference play is huge.
TN & Auburn & Bama are tough.

HH your belief in uk is the best and refreshing but auburn is the best team in the nation
Butler was out 2 games and came back on fire. If not for his break out performance, we might have lost.
Butler could have scored over 40 easy. So glad to see him back because we need him, especially against SEC play.
My biggest concern regarding this team is they're getting beat most of the time on 50/50 basketball plays.
Also, missing these FT's is inexcusable and this team isn't a poor free throw shooting team. Oweh has struggled sometimes.

Your #1 seeds will probably eventually be: Auburn, Duke, Gonzaga, and Kansas.
Kentucky will probably end up with a 2 or 3 seed.

We have those two good wins, but we haven't looked dominant against some of our easier teams, especially recently. Colgate, Western, and Georgia State were a bit uninspiring. Even beating UL by under 10 on our home court isn't outstanding. A top team should be expected to really drop hammer and make 1 or 2 of those want to quit basketball.

Not sure UL counts as a marquee win but it sure avoids an embarrassing loss. If we had beaten Clemson that would be a marquee win. Bummer we couldn’t finish in that one. So glad we got the Duke and Gonzaga games. We are going to have to kick, scratch and claw our way through this SEC schedule.

I don't disagree with OP and am 0% scared of Auburn. We need to get better at foul line...it is the only thing that truly concerns me with this team.
You’re consistent if nothing else😬. Our defense was not good tonight. We do that in league play and we are looking at 7-8 losses. This league is historically good this year!
More tested than us but I can't wait for SEC play to start to see where we stand.
Gonzaga is not a 1 seed. They lost that vs Kentucky and Uconn.
I'd say minimum 4 losses in conference and possibly as many as 8.
4 or 5 would be a outstanding year. 1976-77 first year I remember following the Cats and the SEC is the best it's ever been top to bottom and it's not close.

Although they were 14-39 for 35.9%. It’s not like they hit every one they threw up although it sure seemed that way when I was watching the game.
I think UT and Auburn are a cut above right now. Doesn't mean we couldn't beat them.
