There have been a few bad calls, but that is NOT why we are getting our butts handed to us. The way we are playing is just inexcusable.

Maybe if they called all of the holds on auburn we could run our offense.

The refs have been brutal but they aren’t the reason we went 12 minutes without a basket and are getting our doors blown off at Rupp

While I agree that we were not playing winning basketball today, I do think people don't fully understand the effect several bad calls have on the mental part of the game. We are frustrated watching it. Do you not think the guys are frustrated playing in it? That F1 called on Butler changed the whole momentum of the game at a time that we were clawing back.

This! Ruined every bit of the momentum we had and it was the never the same. Then opened the second half with Oweh getting drug down and called a walk. That has been called a foul for other teams (Sears and Fears) and for us it was a walk.

The Butler call was horrendous. It actually involved 3 bad calls ON THE SAME PLAY.

1. The call itself.
2. Stopping our 5 on 4 advantage for an injury. Supposed to wait until the short-manned team gains control of the ball.
3. Allowing the "injured" player, that had been subbed out to return to the lineup and shoot the free throws even though no game action had occurred. Pope was supposed to be able to choose the shooter.

The refs really suck but Pope is way too easy on them. No emotion whatsoever, just claps his hands. He needs to stay in their ear like all the best coaches do and go berserk the next time a foul is called on a flopping three.

No ... he needs to be consistent, and these stupid refs will realize at some point it's the other coaches that deserve the deaf ear. Gonna take time but to join the "screamers" isn't the path to take. Pope will pick his times to protest but to complain about EVERY BAD CALL isn't going to change anything.

I thought the officiating was bad today but Auburn was called for 5 more fouls than us and shot 7 free throws less. The refs are not the reason we lost today.
