Newton in 1997 and I quote C.M.(who relayed this story to me) " I did some great work the last 2 years..maybe when UK gets a new arena .you will name it for me"..C.M. rolled his eyes and smiled.."Rick..I played for the old man..I coached under him..He is the architect of our tradition..as long as I am alive there will never be an arena named after anyone in Lexington except Coach Rupp"..3 weeks later Pitino left for the Celtics..
Pitino will never get it..He forfeited his honor when he took the Lil Brother job..The Penthouse for the Outhouse..Let Loserville honor him..Those low lifes deserve each other..
