But they look scary good. They could potentially be one of the best teams of all time. That said, Tech was going toe to toe with them until Brewer went down. They aren't unbeatable. Espn doesn't want talk about that though. Just read an article talking about their dominance. Yeah they dominated after brewer went down. Before that we had a game on our hands. Get used to the narrative though. At least until the playoffs. Ohio state will decimate that schedule. The only team that might have a chance is MSU. I still say they lose by two or three touchdowns.

One of the best teams of all time? [roll]
Look. I hate ohio state more than any team not named Louisville. They are good. They were without their top 10 all American de too. As well as some major weapons on offense. They are very very very good. And I said potentially. Geez.

They are a very good team, Meyer runs a program that ignores misdoings done by his players but he is a very good coach, at least top 2 right now and one could argue he is number 1. How he runs things caught up with him at UF and if he hasn't changed it will at tOSU too, not only will the team lack discipline off the field but it will start showing up on the field.

But to last night, they beat a VT team who hasn't been anything special in 4 years by less than 3 TDs and it was a game at the half. Now I don't think there are many teams on their schedule who has a chance to beat them other than MichSt this year. Now if this team improves like the 14 team did during the year they are likely to run the table. A DC will have to come up with to gameplans and two different personel packages when playing them, if you slow down Jones the other qb with different skills will come in, so they will be a challenge. But on recent performances by VT its hard to put them on the level as one of the greatest of all time. If VT runs through the rest of their schedule, I might change my mind, if they struggle to get bowl eligible again I will stand my ground. But they are very likely a playoff team, they looked good against a P5 team in their opener, but quite a few others did too.

Are people only reading half my post? I said potentially great and then I talk about them being in a game until brewer goes down. Are you guys just reading the first two lines and then going straight to reply?

They may be very special but we will never know becuse they don't play anyone. Hell, UL plays a better schedule than OSU. Would like to see OSU with UL's 13 day schedule (3 games). I'm sure they would win but we would know a lot more about them.

I agree with the OP that no one is touching this team until the playoff, and even then I doubt anyone can outscore them (which you are going to have to do to beat them) for 60 minutes. A SEC team is the only one who could maybe slow them down. That said, from what I saw of Alabama's D the other night giving up 17 to a Wisconsin team most said they'd give up 6-7 points to...they are not that team, just like last year. Now on the other hand, OSU won't be able to stop Alabama so Bama might have a shot if their D could just get a couple of stops. Alabama is just the team I am using as an example...UGA could make it and give them a game. AU maybe as well, but their QB play was atrocious this past Saturday. I do not see a team from another conference that belongs on the same field with OSU.

OSU is going to win every game on their regular season schedule by AT LEAST 14 points (and MSU is the one team that can stay at 14, no one else can). OSU may screw around like they did some last year, but now they have 2-3 stud QBs so if one is not coming to play bench his ass and play the other one (or even Miller some there in the Wildcat). They have an embarrassment of riches. I hate to say it but if they win it this year, Urb may have a dynasty on his hands.

No, VT hasn't been anything other than decent in 4 years and like you said they were in the game until their qb went down. Their schedule is weak, Franklin seems to have forgotten how to coach at PSU, Michigan doesn't have near the talent to compete this year, but both of those could compete with VT, which at halftime was what tOSU was doing. Do you think Texas A&M is going to dominate the SEC and decimate their schedule, they beat a top 15 team by 20? MichST. will be a test for them and by that time they could have improved enough to run through them, but the team that played last night looked beatable. Don't pay so much attention to Herbie.

The run they went on last year was nuts. They beat the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 13th ranked teams in the final poll over their last 7 games.

As for this year, keep an eye on that Minnesota game late in the season.
