Compare Butler and his never quit attitude to that little quitter prick midgets 2 years ago. Butler left it all on the court.

Kid has a heart of a champion and will be the hardest person to replace on the team. Wish we had him another season.
WARRIOR. Put his body on the line repeatedly even AFTER coming back from an injury that wasn't fully healed to try and help his team. Really the only guy who showed up tonight. Will be remembered fondly!

I really don't want to hear a bad word about any of these guys. They all had an extremely tough job of injecting energy into the program again while dealing with high expectations in an environment they had not idea about. Many of them from mid majors who were basically goldfish that got thrown into an ocean.
And they overachieved tremendously given the expectations, fought through injuries, did it with class, and started the ball rolling on the Pope era in a really fun and exciting way.
He could have easily shut it down after the second injury to his shoulder.... That brace could not have been comfortable to play in... A warrior.. Wish we had him for next year. Honestly...Outside of Robinsons facial and body language problems... Never really see any bad young men on the team.. Many played hurt.. Kerr has been one of the biggest cheerleaders on the team... Him hustling back to play D after getting hurt was guttsy..

In his one year, Butler has became one of my all time favorite Cats. Great guy, played hard and often hurt, floor General and a team leader.
Love you Butler! Remember this when everyone wants to dog our guys. They care too.

I would kill to be able to clone Lamont Butler and keep him around for 4 years. He is everything you want at his position.

Ill give him his due. This was a tough season for him and he did what he could tonight. I think he's the only player tonight I'll give a pass to.
I don't want to hear a damn word about any of the players. All season they gave everything they had and at some point in the season, every single one of the guys contributed in a big win. Unfortunately tonight was a muck it up game and that has been our Achilles heal all year.
I really wish Kentucky could have had him for more than one year. Going to miss him.
Some of these threads and posts tonight make it easy to see who should be on ignore. This thread makes me wish there was a “favorites” function too.
So, Butler playing his ass off with a busted shoulder is not a fond memory. Weird flex. We make the S16 for the first time in 6 years and you are going to try to forget it.
