Because I learned my lesson when I wanted Morgan Newton in the game, but Towles is a RS Jr. with major in accuracy issues at critical times and questionable decision making.

I'm not saying bench him but I'm coming around to the idea that Barker needs some game action.

Yeah that game was lot on Towles. You don't take a sack and he threw ALOT of bad passes. Receivers did drop a few and one was a TD but he missed a lot of throws. 8 of 24.

The overthrown ball in the first quarter that turned into an interception is the 7 points we gave them that would have won us the game. Sure, baker could have caught the touchdown pass but an incomplete pass doesn't give the ball to the defense on our own ten yard line.

Barker is probably not ready , otherwise the staff would play him but if Towles continues to miss passes and more importantly lose games we should have won then Barker will play . If I had to guess I would say Barker hasn't committed himself yet to becoming an sec quarterback , he may not be doing enough of the extra stuff like film study etc..... Drew clearly has maturity issues and is a poor decision maker off the field , that is probably a decent indicator of how he approaches his football preparations. He will mature when it dawns on him that it's a requirement to play , if it's not what I just posted them what else could it be ? He surely can't be more innacurate than Towles .

Yeah not making excuses for Towles, 8 for 24 is NOT good at all. Defense held them to 14pts, and offense only scores 9pts? Seemed like it was 3 and 9 on every possession. I yd run and 2 incomplete passes.

I wonder how much of our running attack is cause the coaches don't believe in towels?

I completely agree with you. Seemed like Barker was more worried about going out then trying to get better.

He has a HUGE problem staring down receivers. Soon as he gets the ball in his hands he looks one way and one way only. Needs to do a better job going through progressions and keeping his head under pressure. I just don't think dude has it mentally to be a good QB let alone a great one.

I don't think Towles has the intangibles to be a good qb , he is serviceable but his accuracy issues really make it easier to defend us .
