I don't get Tenn being a 4.5 favorite against us per MJ...

We should match up well with their big three of Ziegler, Lanier and Milicic. The two big things for us is how good we are shooting and will the refs get us in foul trouble early? The refs tonight called picky fouls on us and none on them. So if our starters can stay on the floor and we are shooting well I think we win.

Getting much more from our bench now, especially Chandler and Noah to support the loss of Robinson. They don't replace him but they help stem his loss a bit. I'm feeling better about this game than I woukd have earlier and especially if we match the defensive effort we had tonight.
Personally. I think we are a better team with chandler playing a chunk of Robinson minutes. He’s great defensively and is smart with the ball. He’s getting better each hls game. The uk team ut sees Friday isn’t the same one they’ve lost to twice. We are and evolved improved team

Don't disagree that Chandler is really coming along but Robinson is a very experienced and versatile player that I wish we had right now. Add him back in and look how deep we would now become.

We have enough to get it done. I'd love to have Robinson, but from an in-game talent level, the current team is probably close to that 2011 Final Four team in terms of overall talent.

Last two times we played UT we had perfect symmetry

In each game we shot 50% from 2 and 50% from 3. This against a defense that typically allows 29% from 3 and 46% from 2

If we shoot like that again, I like our chances.
imo, the game comes down to zeigler. he was off in both of our games. lanier will get his double figures because he’s featured. ganey will get some too. but if zeigler gets 20 we will be in trouble.

if we win in such a case, their defense will have failed them, or we hit a bunch of contested shots.

UK has beaten them twice. In both games, UK was down critical starters.

Now UK is somewhat more healthy, and I like our chances Friday.

Screw this "you can't beat a good team three times" stuff. Unlike previous Cal's teams, this UK team won't be reading their own press clippings.
2014 Florida beat us 3 times. We made it all the way to the final game . They lost to UConn in final 4 and so did we in the final. We return them the favor in 2015 when we beat them 3 times.

I expect to handle UT easy. Our first two games we threw two completely different looks at them and they didn’t come close to figuring us out either time. We won both games pretty easily and won the second game, the one that resembles what we’ll play Friday, going away—where if you’d thrown ten more minutes on that game we would have won by 20.

Now we got a much more effective defense than they saw from us either time. And we have Collin Chandler coming on (didn’t score in either game previously because he hadn’t really figured himself out yet offensively).

And now’s supposed to be the time when they beat us?

Hey anything can happen but personally I’m a lot less worried about UT than I was about Illinois or even Troy for that matter. My only regret is we can’t play UT in our Elite Eight game as well.

We match up well with UT. That said Oweh cannot get in foul trouble and sit out most of first half and us win. Of the two seeds left in tourney I much prefer them. I hope our 2 wins doesn't make us over confident. I remember what an Auburn team we had handled during season did to us in Elite 8 a few years ago.
