It’s been way too stressful since the calendar turned to January. We’ve yet to have a real legit comfortable game. I guess maybe Texas A&M but even that was close in the 2nd half. I need a blowout. I know these guys are capable. If you can beat/ hang with the best teams in the country then you should be able to blow out the weak ones. Let’s do it Saturday!!!

If you want comfortable games then you’re following the wrong conference. Ain’t no easy days in this year’s SEC.

Tomorrow’s should be about as close to one as we’re gonna get …yet I’m still feeling a bit uncomfortable about it given our injury situation.

Let's go!!!!! I agree, if we come out and play like we did at Knoxville, we should be able to take care of the Hogs . I look for Amari Williams to have a huge game. He is looking more focused now. I say Cats win 89-66.

I can’t see how this game isn’t a 15-20 point win, we just beat Tenn atTenn and they have so much more talent than the pigs. It’s at home, crowd will be jacked long before tip & no reason the team should come out flat. Jump them early and never let up, force Wagner to beat you and I think we will cruise the last 10 mins of the game. I think mtn mamba hits atleast 4 3s, kind of a pay back for not getting sniff from cal last year.

I want to agree with you, but also have a vision of Adou and Wagner and Davis going crazy and scoring season highs in an emotional close game.

Pope understands the emotion of this game but I think, given we have an entire team that probably has never met coach Cal and wasn’t here under him, our current guys won’t feel the same pressure or stress about this game. This will work in our favor way more so than it will for Z, Adou or DJ.

Think it’s close for first 6-10 minutes and then it turns into a route.
Not only will we make at least 8 more 3’s than they will, but I saw some fight on D from Brea, Chandler and Alminor against UT that I haven’t really seen this season, and if we build on that defensive momentum and play then I see no chance Arkansas keeps it under 15.

And I would love for Perry and Noah to come in and bang a couple 3’s each.
Rupp would lose it’s mind.

Agreed. I wouldn’t love to have a nice, easy, relaxing game. Start well, get up by 8-10 in the first half, extend that to 12-14 in the second half and win by 15 or so.

Blowout would be fun, I'll take any W with a smile. Losing to Cal (especially this bad Arkansas team) at home would be a tough pill to swallow

That's what Auburn fans thought as well last year after we were coming off a home loss to Gonzaga and they had just beaten South Carolina by FORTY. Granted our team last year was a lot better than his Arkansas team this year. But it seems like Cal has one or two games every year where his team looks dead in the water and they win one no one expects them to win, and looks great doing it. Then they'll lose the next one to a bad team.

The former players will be motivated but hopefully that will not translate to playing well. We're capable of a blowout, obviously. Would be nice to jump on them quick, get a decent lead and coast home. From what I've seen I don't think they sustain effort well and their chemistry isn't great. If we shoot well it will be an easy win.

And on Monday people didn’t see how UK could win at UT without Butler and Carr. But we did.

Unpredictable logic-defying shit happens all the time in a conference where everybody’s got the talent to beat anyone on the right night. Especially when emotions are high.

That's not how sports work unfortunately.

I think we can punish Arkansas in the pick and roll with BG. Or space the court and do pick and pop with Almanor. We know from experience Cal doesent know how to defend those kind of actions. How many times have we seen teams destroy us in that

I can see the scenario in the first post I've quoted playing out... however, I could also see the extra motivation factor for the former Cats causes them to "overplay" and try to do too much thereby hurting their team even more.

Regardless, while I do not expect a blowout, I agree with the OP that it would great to have one.

We have to go there next year, I will take a win whether it be 3 points or 10. It wouldn't surprise me if they played the best game they have played all year, you know they will shoot better, try harder and want it just as much as we do. Everybody saying they want a blowout should know emotions are going to be running high this game and that probably won't happen. I just want Carr and Butler to play, and we should be ok, we can't afford to lose any more home games.

I kinda thought this might be the case. Since everyone says they’re so talented just not playing together. But in reality they aren’t that talented. Just like some of our teams under cal weren’t that talented. They get the label of being talented bc they’re super athletic and the high school rankings had them high bc they were way more athletic than their peers but in reality a guy like Karter Knox and billy Richmond aren’t that talented right now. Can they be? Maybe. But not right now. And dj wagner is another perfect example. He was a top hs player but his game doesent translate to the college level where he can just blow by any and everyone like in high school. Arkansas isn’t very good bc the players at Arkansas aren’t that good. It’s that simple

We all saw a path to beating tenn though, get hot from 3 and limit our turnovers cause those 2 things we’ve actually done this year. Arkansas has yet to shoot lights out and we know they struggle defending because of their coach so that’s why I say I can see a 15-20 point win. I can’t seem truly defending JR, OO, Brea consistently them Mamba off the bench. Our players know how important this game is to bbn even if they were not here last year, anything can happen yes but I just don’t think it does tomorrow. Our anything can happen was Ohio st unfortunately.

Cal misses us

Nelly Davis is going to have the game of his Arkansas life tomorrow. It’s pretty much a guarantee. That said, they’re not a good team. Wagner, Z , and all their freshman still playing are ass. I could see Thiero having a big dunk or two though.

If we shoot well it's a blowout.
If we shoot poorly we could scrape by or lose.
If the whistle is kind to Ark., we scape by or lose.
If we zone, we win.
